Pros: Decorative looking.
Cons: Water doesn't flow out in anything more than the most mild little dribble.

While this would seem like a great idae the stem is so narrow that the dirt tends to clog the flow of out going water. I had plants wilting with the globes still full. Some water gets into the soil sure but you could stil have dry plants. They aren't the big solution.
