Great for Outdoor Photography
by jturnerusmc ,Sep 17 '03
Pros: Wonderful outdoor pictures! Cons: Not good for indoor pictures. :(
This camera is a really good camera for outdoor photography. When outside the camera automatically adjusts the amount of light in the picture to give you a wonderful picture every time. But pictures taken indoor will almost always be too dark. I really wish it would lighten up the pictures indoors the way it darkens up pictures taken outdoors. Overall I have enjoyed the pictures I have taken with this camera!

Works very nicely; very simple...
by james_dt3005 ,Jul 07 '02
Works very nicely; very simple controls are easy to use and nearly intuitive; takes excellent outdoor pictures in normal sunlight; indoor pictures will suffer without excellent lighting; close focus requires directed lighting; very small and included pouch very nicely done; no external power source is allowed for so keep plenty of AAA sets handly (4 cells per); internal 32MB holds a lot of photos (manual claims 250 @ 1280x1024) but they cannot be used directly by some programs (i.e., Microsoft Publisher) until they are opened and saved by another graphics program (i.e., Paint Ship Pro); lack of flash is most glaring ommission as it relegates use to outdoor shots - attempt indoor shots only if very well lit; also motion is not captured well in picture mode - any motion causes blurring. Excellent camera for specific uses; look elsewhere for casual point-n-shoot.
