Pros: One good line about good men being hard to find Cons: That this movie is easily found at most theatres
Prior to viewing The Astronaut's Wife, I was convinced that no movie ever made could ever be as bad as Darkman. I can unequivocally say that this movie is the worst bit of cellulose ever created. I actually have fostered some self hatred for having...

Pros: Depp and Theron are ok Cons: Bad plot with thin characters and no real semblance of an ending
I admire Charlize Theron. Here is a woman who is extremely beautiful and yet doesn't coast on her beauty and deliver flawed terrible performances. This woman can act and at her best she projects a vulnerability that is surprising in its frankness....

Pros: nice hair cuts!~ Cons: lack of plot, substance, meaning, sense, et cetera
This film is like a sausage, stuffed with fillers and unexplained content: unnecessary characters, meaningless scenes, and events that never seemed to amount to anything or shed light on the plot.
I like a good "alien" movie. Too bad...

Pros: Charlize Theron, Charlize Theron, Charlize Theron Cons: Not Charlize Theron
Given that it borrows prodigiously from Rosemary’s Baby and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), both superior thrillers, logic would dictate we find the plot of The Astronaut’s Wife inherently compelling, yet the film feels uninspired, and lacks the...

Pros: Passable Depp and Theron Cons: Confusing plot, unresolved questions
I just finished watching this movie, and will go back and see what I missed the first time. Because I must have missed something! The flic leaves me unhappy, not just because the ending was "bad". (the bad guys win) but because I have so many...

Pros: Charlize Theron's and Johnny Depp's performances. Cons: Poorly Written.
After coming home from work late one morning, instead of being tired, I was wide-awake. I started watching the only thing on at that time in the morning. That was “The Astronauts Wife.” So, let me tell you what I think of this movie.

Pros: Charlize Theron is always easy on the eyes. Cons: Nothing else is.
My buddy rented this. Knowing his track record (his last pic was the snoozer Ninth Gate) I should have taken matters into my own hands....
Jonathan Depp (really, you're too old to still be called Johnny) is Spencer Armacost (what is it with...

Pros: Even the sex scene is really, really creepy! Cons: Just a few loose ends
Charlize Theron spends about the last half-hour of this movie trying to do what her character in "The Cider House Rules" did shortly after being introduced, and then, at absolutely the last possible second, changes her mind. Viewers are...

Pros: None really Cons: Everything
Well my title kind of says it all. This movie was WAY too long. I love sci fi, and I love horror movies, and I can't even BEGIN to imagine which category this one fits into. Perhaps this was a true "sleeper." The premise of the movie is...

Pros: Johnny Depp's Southern accent Cons: Every minute of this painful production
I've always wondered what a cast of hundreds think in the middle of a production they must know is painfully horrendous. Does anyone stick his hand up and go "Hey guys, STOP! It just dawned on me... we're creating a BOOB of a movie!" Would that...

Pros: Tasty soda Cons: The stuff between the credits
Redefining the film genre of "Insanely Terrible Movie That Made Me Gnaw On My Armrest and Yell Kill Me Now", "The Astronaut's Wife" subtly says to it's audience... "you're in for the most painful two hours of your life."...

Pros: Good sci-fi premise Cons: Badly executed because it's so predictable
Writer/director Rand Ravich came up with an intriguing premise for this sci-fi tale: What would happen if an astronaut was, somehow, changed after he returned from a supposedly routine space journey? Who would know?
Good idea,...

Pros: The actors do their best with what they were given Cons: The story is incomplete
That’s what I would like to know. The characters go through all this stuff, and the big question is, to what end? What is the point?
Johnny Depp plays astronaut Spencer, the wonderful and supportive husband of Charlize Theron’s Jill. Depp...

Pros: The movie is consistent, albeit consistently bad Cons: Money was required to see this movie; no plot; bad effects
I like movies with plots, and The Astronaut's Wife doesn't have one. The premise is that astronaut Spencer Armacost, played by Depp, and another astronaut lose communication with NASA for two minutes while on a mission to repair a satellite. During this...

Pros: It did end.....eventually Cons: The worst part of this movie is the 90 minutes before it ends
Okay, so we've seen the plot before. Somebody goes to outer space, catches a nasty alien bug out there, then comes back and there's a big fight to save humankind.
Except there isn't a big fight. And humankind doesn't seem to be at risk. And...
