My offices is together trying to get into shape. We are all doing it for different reasons. One person needs to lower her cholesterol, another is on the verge of becoming a diabetic, and ME, I want to get rid of a roll or two around my middle.

Pros: no carbs, no calories, no sugar Cons: none really. they just aren't the best syrups on the market for low carb dieters
On my never-ending search for low carb foods, I came across the Atkins Sugar Free Syrups. I thought this would be a great idea to flavor up some of my rather unappealing foods and drinks. So, let me tell you about them. Flavors Cherry ...

Pros: An excellent substitute for the real thing Cons: Slightly processed taste
Specifically, I'm reviewing the Maple (pancake) syrup. There are several other flavors, I have yet to purchase them as I was waiting this first order to come through the mail before committing.
I've been on the low carb (Atkins) diet now for...

Pros: tasty, easy to use, several flavors Cons: a bit pricey
I have been on the Atkins diet for 6 months now, and these syrups are a staple. The have zero calories, zero carbs, and are wonderful for adding flavor to just about anything. During the atkins diet I went from a size 10 to a size 6, lowered my...

Pros: You get nice flavor and sweetness in a sugar-free, calorie-free, and versatile product. Cons: The syrups are a bit thin, and the price is on the high end.
100% sugar-free, and 100% calorie-free.
I've tried the pancake syrup, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, and hazelnut. They're all good. The pancake syrup is the thickest in consistency. It is thinner in texture than a typical...

Pros: Taste great! Cons: What cons?
What will Dr. Atkins think of next? First it was the Baking mix and now the pancake syrup. My diet doesn't feel like a diet anymore. No hunger and now no cravings. This syrup is actually better than all the well known brands and just about the...

Pros: flavored syrups are better than nothing! great substitutes Cons: small bottles, big prices.
I've been on this Atkins diet on and off for two years now, and its worked wonders for me, really. I've dropped over 30 pounds at my own pace and managed to keep it off for a long while now, without doing anything special. :) I love it, its great just to...

Tasty, versatile, and diet friendly!
by crechebaby ,May 05 '04
Pros: Great, natural tasting flavor. Use it with anything! Cons: Expensive at $6 a bottle.
Carb, calorie, and sugar free. VERY tasty, no chemical-y aftertaste, no chalkiness or odd odors.
You can add them to your protein shakes to mix things up, or make a low carb Italian Soda (1 part heavy cream, 2 parts club soda, 1 part syrup, ice).
What's more, unlike most low carb items, it's fat and calorie free, so it's perfect for any diet, not just Atkins.
The only down side is its expense. Like any other low carb item, it's quite a bit to handle at $6 a pop.
But when you can't look another plate of bacon and eggs in the face, that's not much to shell out.
