If you have kids and you are in the car a lot...you really need one of these. You can also take this to work or a hotel room. Anywhere you want to watch a movie and have an outlet. I have had mine for a week and we really like it. The only problem so far...

We found the same problem that three other reviewers found. After 20-30 uses, smoke began to bellow from the player and it was useless. Since it was just after the 90 day warranty period, Audiovox refused to do anything about it except offer the $165.00 flat fee repair charge. Do not under any circumstances buy this product!

I bought this unit with the extra LCD screen from Best Buy for 250 bucks. Could not beat that with a stick. It plays great. Sound comes out of screen. You can hook up to 3 screens. Screens can be used for gaming. With 2 or more screens playing at once you can get some ad hoc surround sound out of it. Really cool product for the price. I can't not complain.

They need to change their name form Audiovox to AudioCrap. What a piece of crap $400.00 and we used it for less than a year till the video went out. For the same amount of money I could have bought a reputable brand.

This unit is garbage. Save your money and buy a reputable brand. The monitor went out after less than 10 hours of use. $165.00 to fix! You're nuts. Customer service is very poor. Their system is a "leave a message and we'll call you back by end of day". They never called me back. Liars.

We bought this DVD player for our two children to keep them entertained in the car on vacations. Well, the system comes with a 90 day warranty, which for occasional use is not enough. The third time we tried to use it, (in a year and a half--so obviously it was out of warranty) the power source for the video screen was fried, and the local shop wants $160 to fix it, or audiovox wants $165 to fix it. We sure could have seen a lot of movies at the theater for the $360 we paid for this piece of junk.

This unit only has 90 warranty and lost power after 5 uses. Audiovox wants $165.00 flat fee to fix, no matter how small problem. Will never buy Audiovox again. Unit gets hot and screen is hard to see at angles.

This made traveling with my three kids sane. And it's fun for the house, too. A mini-tv-dvd player for one person.
