Pros: Not expensive if purchased through satellite provider Cons: Hard to connect, Static, Loss of Signal, Excessive Wires
The days of FM radio seem to be practically gone with the current availability of satellite radio. I was lucky enough to have XM Radio factory installed in my Chevrolet Trailblazer when I purchased it. With over 170 commercial free channels I was and ...

Pros: XM service is great, good receiver, great price. Cons: Installation is not easy unless you don't mind lots of wires on your dashboard.
I frequently drive long distances and I wanted to have something interesting to listen to, especially live NHL games. The Xpress EZ kit seemed like a great deal for $30 CDN at Future Shop because it included the receiver, car dock and wiring, and a home ...

Pros: Simple controls that let you keep your eyes on the road. Low initial cost. Cons: Inexcusable poor performance as provided from XM.
I selected this model direct from XM due to a promotional price. Mind you, I have been a long time subscriber of XM, but for a unit in the home on my audio system - I did not have one in the car. Well I went for it, ordered the kit and agreed to the ...

Save your money

Pros: Not a ONE. Do NOT waste your money on this poor radio Cons: Too many to list
I called XM to have them Ping one of my receivers that had been unplugged for a few months, and this Customer Service Rep started talking about this Great deal on the Audiovox Xpress that I can use in my car or my house - and it was only $9.95 plush S&H and activation.
When this piece of garbage arrived it would not play through my cars FM radio - there was no way to connect it in the house without a power adapter (accessory I learned after the fact) and the wiring is a nightmare. Accessories needed to connect into Car radios antenna system.
I called XM to express my dis satisfaction with this piece of crap, and got tossed aropund from department to department - each telling me there was no returning it except for replacement.
After a 2 hours of being on hold and going through 5 "departments" I hung up and threw this piece of garbage where it belongs - in the TRASH!
Dont waste your money

Pros: Easy to install, small, and cheap Cons: None so far
I purchased my XpressEz from Target for $12.98, it was on clearance. It was simple to install I used the an Audio cable to connected it to my MP3 jack. It sounds great I even get signal inside my garage. I like the way it displays the name of the Artist and song, no more guessing the name.

A Great Cheap Entrance To XM.
by zachtp ,May 18 '08
Pros: GREAT sound quality, easy to use, small and sharp. Cons: Too many wires
I just purchased this receiver and I'm hooked! Installation was easy; I just tucked the antenna cable under the weatherstripping on my windshield, plugged everything in, activated and was listening. The install was quicker than usual since I didn't use the XM SureConnect FM antenna. I use my cassette adapter, which is in my opinion your best bet if your car as a cassette player.
The audio quality with this little guy is incredible with the cassette adapter. It almost seems like I have a completely new system! It's also very easy to use and navigate, with there only being a selection knob and three buttons for favorites, display settings, and the configuration menus.
The only negative with this receiver has nothing to do with performance, but with looks. Yes, the installation might be easy, but with the power, antenna, and cassette adapter cords hanging about, the thing looks horrible. However, the beautiful sound quality and ease of use certainly make up for it.
Overall, this tiny receiver packs a huge punch and is an exceptional value. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get XM cheaply and fast.
