Pros: no more bad hair days - a way to control hard to manage hair Cons: the smell - the price - hard to use without making hair look dirty
Is the name of this product Pure-Fume or Perfume? Does anyone out there know what a "pure-fume" is and what it should smell like? After using this Aveda product I'm still trying to figure it out.
Pros: Gives many different styles, smells great, adds shine, only need one product Cons: Smell can be strong; makes hair greasy if too much is used, expensive
I recently (About 2 years ago) started going to an Aveda Concept Salon, all this means is that they deal exclusively with Aveda products for their hair care, makeup and spa treatments. I decided it was time to start getting a more high quality hair cut...
Pros: Makes hair very manageable, shiny and gets rid of fly away or frizzy hair. Cons: Might be a little hard to wash off your hands, otherwise it is great!
Description:
My hairdresser recommended this styling cream about 2 years
ago when I first got my hair cut. Since then, I've gone from waist length hair to a very short cut that's almost spiky in the back. I have continued to use this...
Pros: aromatherapy smell, cut down on styling time, lots of shine, not heavy at all Cons: smell possibly intense if too much product was used, sticky consistency scary at first
so, i have never even thought of writing a review of my own. usually i just scan other reviews to get ideas about new products to try, or just look at other peoples' opinions about products i already have. but i just have to write about this so that may ...
Pros: Woodsy scent (that famous Aveda smell), quick fix for frizz and adds shine and softness Cons: Overpowering scent, if you don't like it, not for elaborate or complex styling
I purchased a bottle of Aveda's Pure-Fume Brilliant Universal Styling Creme from a local drugstore (my local Aveda retailer did not have it). The one bottle has lasted me about a year. Of course, since I am male with relatively short- to medium-length ...
Pros: not tested on animals Cons: difficult to use, overpowering fragrance
I have always heard rave reviews about Aveda and its products, so I finally went for my own consultation to one of their exclusive salons and walked out with this product. But no matter what I do, it just doesn't work for me.
Pros: works if you can get everything just right Cons: very strong smell even for Aveda & very difficult to apply
When I got my hair straightened in an Aveda salon, they suggested this product as well as the Brilliant Gel. I have both and I don't find either to be all that helpful for my hair.
What you do with Brilliant Universal Styling Creme (weird...
Good product, but not the best! by stellablue1979 ,Jan 11 '04
Pros: Reduces frizz/adds shine. Cons: Made my hair lifeless/stiff.
I have very curly hair and have tried every product on the market. I used this particular one for a couple of years in conjunction with Aveda Pure-Fume Brilliant Medium-hold gel. I found that this product did reduce frizz, but did not give me the texture that I wanted. Usually it made my hair stiff and lifeless or weighed it down. I would recommend Aveda Be Curly or Alterna products instead.
Pros: makes hair shiny Cons: too greasy if too much is applied, does not work well with curly hair
I have naturally curly hair and I tried this product once when I wanted to wear my hair curly and I would just let it naturally dry without a blow dryer or anything. It seemed to seperate my naturally thick curls into a big, shiny, mass of little waves, I did not like this product very much. The only thing that was good about it was that when I straightened my hair I would put a dime sized drop in my hand and do a once over the outside of my hair to tame the frizz and give my hair a little bit of shine.
