Pros: Long Life, Chisel tip, avaialable anywhere, inexpensive, very smooth in writing.
Cons: Won't write on wet surfaces, harder to get off of children

Pros: Permanent, low odor, wide tip, writes on almost any surface
Cons: None comes to mind
