Pros: Dual channel capability
Solid build
Use 6 AA instead of 1 9V
Cons: heavy especially with 6 AA batteries loaded.
I am a fulltime videographer at http://sweetheartproduction.com. I shoot weddings and corporate projects.
I have a Samson Micro1 UHF system and always wanted a dual channel system because I sometimes need to record more than one wireless source. I decided on the 200UPR system mainly due to its price. The system I got comes with a 200UPR receiver, a 10HT handheld mic, and a 10BT body pack. Out the door price was $655 with shipping.
My first impression when I held the 200UPR in my hand was it is built to last. Its all metal housing feels much more solid than the Samson. Plus the dual BNC antenna gives it a very professional appearance. (Note that it is NOT a dual diversity system. There are two antennas because there are actually two receivers in a single housing.)
Control switches design is well laid out. Each receiver can be adjusted independently for channel selection and power.
More update after I shoot several jobs with it.
