Although Mario Batali's enotecais one of the most hyped in all of New York City, it mostly lives up to all the hype. It is rare restaurant that sets the bar so high that even the most discriminating foodie will feel like a child eating at a fine dining establishment for the first time.
The pasta such as the heavenly gnocci is the most tasty pasta served outside of Italy. The guinea hen is so mouth-watering it will make your taste buds do a "double take." It is amazing that the chefs at Babbo can make something as mundane as "chicken" so delicious. The fish is scrumptious as well. Only the steak is a bit "underwhelming."
