Pros: Simple, elegant, handsome, effective, easy to clean and use. Very lightweight. Folds flat. Cons: price, no mechanical movement or vibration (maybe a plus?)
It's 3:57 in the morning and my three-week-old baby is asleep. He's still got night and day messed up and wakes up every 2 hours to feed, but right now he's quiet and in his Baby Bjorn 123 bouncer---and I'm happily on the internet. ...

Pros: Encourages physical development, more stylish than most, not noisy, comfortable for baby's back & neck Cons: Not automated, expensive, a little heavy
I registered for this bouncer and didn't get it as a gift, so we actively sought it out secondhand and bought it for $50 used. I found it's about $100 at most retailers like Target online and Buy Buy Baby. My 4 week old son already loves this and so does ...

The best baby chair out there!
by momoflucy ,Sep 25 '04
Pros: Useful for up to 2 years, battery free, natural materials, machine washable Cons: maybe could use a hook/strap to hold it together, for easier portability
We bought this chair because it is simple -- no plastic or batteries! -- and because we would be able to use it until our little one is 2. Our four-month-old girl LOVES this chair. She spends a lot of time hanging out, spinning the wooden bear toys on the toy bar. She sometimes prefers being in the chair to our laps because she can bounce and play and wiggle without falling out. This was worth every penny, and actually not that much more than its plastic bells-and-whistles cousins when you consider the length of use and portability. We even take this chair to our friend's houses for dinner! We found this chair at a local store (Generations) in Portland, OR for $89 instead of the listed, higher prices (of up to $129!)-- so you might want to look them up.

Grow with this seat!
by lserface ,Oct 27 '03
Pros: Baby can use this seat for years. Cons: You should use cloth diaper over the seat area in case of diaper leaks!
The Baby Bjorn Sitter 123 is by far the best baby product we've purchased. I originally liked it because of the simplicity (after all, there are so many bouncers with lots of gadgets, lights, and even vibrations!). The more our son sits in this chair, the more he likes it. It encourages them to exercise their legs because this is how they get the chair to bounce/move (i.e., it has no automated bouncing mechanism). We also like this seat because he will be able to use it for many years to come. It folds nicely into our closet when not in use, and we even travel with it. Finally, you can use a foot to get the bouncing going while doing other things at a desk (such as check email or write epinions reviews! :).

Great product & support from company
by lbwrage ,Mar 11 '08
Pros: Stylish, lightweight, portable, and an overall great bouncer! Cons: Wooden toy bar not for kids at the chewing stage
My son loved this bouncer out of all others we tried - it encourages muscle development when he's awake as well as cradles and calms him when he's cranky and tired. The company that distributes Baby Bjorn products also stands behind their products 110%. When the bouncer broke from overzealous bouncing one day, it was cheerily and promptly replaced with a brand new unit - no discussion! It's easy to slide your baby in and out without undoing the front piece each time, and it's very hard to tip over. With other bouncers, my son could lean to one side and end up with the bouncer on his back, crawling like a turtle. I would totally recommend this bouncer from day one of your infant's life.
