With many kid formulated sunscreens on the market there is currently a lot of different choices from which to purchase - and yet I never hesitate before putting Banana Boat Baby Block into my basket! With my 2 older children I have used this ...
Pros: 50 SPF, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Water proof, PABA free Cons: a little costly - but worth it!
We've come a long way in the tan and sun burn world, haven't we? I remember as a child getting second/third degree burns on my shoulders and back twice. We did use sun block, but not every time we were out in the sun. And my mom.... well, in her day (in...
Pros: SPF 50, Goes On Easily & Absorbs Quickly, Great Scent, Waterproof, Hypoallergenic Cons: N/A
Summer time is just around the corner, and with it comes pools, sun, fun and sunburns if you aren't careful. As soon as the warm weather reached us here in Georgia, I immediately purchased sunblock for my daughter, knowing that we would be taking full...
Pros: goes on smooth, not oily, very effective Cons: somewhat expensive at around $9-$10
When it comes to fair skin, I think my family could potentially be over qualified. I know that myself, I have always been extremely fair skinned and could burn just from being out in the sun for less than 15 minutes. When I went to Florida, i would ...
I live in Arizona where sunblock is a diaper bag necessity. My friend came over and left this at my house and when I told her that she had left it she told me to keep it. So I inherited a tube of Baby Block from her. Baby Block is a water proof, hypo...
My daughter was born in July of 1999 during what must have been a heat wave. For several weeks after she was born we had many days that hit over 100 degrees with the heat and humidity. It was so hot I was unable to take her out for a walk even in the...
Pros: unscented! effective against sunburn Cons: stings eyes
My husband calls me the whitest woman in America. While I have seen people with much fairer skin than mine, I am quite light and always burn if I'm out in the sun for more than a few minutes. So I've been smearing on sunblock for a long time now, and...
Pros: Offers great sun protection at a reasonable price! Cons: Tube was huge, lotion seemed a bit too greasy.
Every year my family and I go on a trip to Holden Beach, it’s a tradition that we all look forward to. But when the trip rolled around this year, I was hesitant about going because we now had a 6-month-old infant. I didn’t want her sensitive skin...
I am the mommy of 12 month old twins who are very fair complected. I needed something that would keep them safe and sunburn free during a trip to Disneyworld. I LOVED the way this product worked! Neither one of my children even turned a tint of pink!...

Banana boat sunscreen here in Florida is top of the line.I have always used Banana boat sunblock on both my kids and myself. When the summer heat comes rolling in purchase your sunblock from a department stoe not a discount store. This summer like every...
Pros: Claims to be SPF 50 Cons: Not As Mild As Water, NOT Tear Free, STINGS the eyes
I bought Baby Tear Free sun block because the bold words TEAR FREE, As Mild as Water were appealing to me because it would be less worrisome putting it on my baby's face. This afternoon a tiny bit got in her eye and instant TEARING and STINGING and SCREAMING! Then she started rubbing with her hands, which already had TEAR FREE sun block on them, both eyes were watering and getting puffy right away. I had to rinse her eyes out with water while trying to hold her hands back from rubbing them. Talk about trying to enjoy a day in the pool with an 8 month old!
Pros: didnt burn eyes Cons: didnt protect from sun in water even though it says its waterproof
over a five hr period of time i applied this to my children 3 times while at a waterpark. the results were most definately not what i hoped for. we were all burnt!!! my son recieved second degree burns on his shoulders, im not sure what this product was blocking, but it wasnt the sun.
