Pros: Easy to use, light smell, doesn't feel heavy or greasy, applies easily, waterproof Cons: Sort of expensive
My husband and I spent a lot of time in the sun, between taking advantage of sunny weather and taking vacations in tropical places. On a trip to South America – to Ecuador – we bought Banana Boat Faces. We knew that, being right on the equator, we ...
I have been blessed with combination skin, which can be tricky at times but doesn't bother me too much. I think I'd rather be right in the middle than be extremely oily or dry. My skin often has dry patches yet is oily and prone to breakouts in my...
Pros: Protects quite well from the harshest, hottest sunlight. Moisturizes quite well. Cons: Smells nice, the enemy knows we're coming before we arrive!
Many people before me here at epinions have written some really stellar reviews of sunscreens and one thing they have in common is how well they work or don't work on the face, body, whatever. They also talk about whether or not they are sweat and ...
Pros: Great sun protection, nice moisturizing benefits Cons: Doesn't disappear into the skin like a gel sunscreen
I purchased Banana Boat Faces Plus Sunblock SPF 23 Lotion in November before my family and I went to Jamaica. I picked this one over many others because:
1. I wanted something especially for my face since my face tends to react...

My family was about to take our summer vacation. This year it was to Florida to visit some family and of course, the ever so famous, Disney World. not being to use to the Florida sun, my mom picked up a bunch of sunblock at the store for the trip....
Pros: non-greasy, doesn't cause pimples Cons: none
Choosing the best sunblock isn't easy as I found out. I tried a lot of products that had left my skin greasy and with pimples. The only product that my face seems to agree with was Banana Boat Faces Plus SPF 30 sunblock spot stick.
Pros: Very light & nice under make-up Cons: weird SPF number-still makes skin greasy
In my desperate quest to be the only 50 year-old without any sun damage, I have tried numerous sunscreens. I also have oily, acne-prone skin which means that my habit leaves me with a face looking like a connect-the-dots puzzle. This Faces product was...
Pros: it works, no greasy feel, no skin irritation Cons: none
I purchased this product because I spend a lot of time out in the sun while marching parades, working out, or just hiking and having fun. I found the Faces plus bottle sitting on a rack in a dollar store so I decided to give it a try--what have I got to...
Pros: Non-greasy, hypoallergenic, formulated for acne-prone skin, does not clog pores. Cons: Does it offer broad-spectrum protection, or does it not?
When looking for a sunscreen for the face, the most important thing to look out for, personally, is that the product must be oil-free, since my skin type is oily. Having tried several sunscreens that failed to deliver their promise to be grease-free, it was with apprehension that I picked up this brand.
Despite the unimpressive smell, I was pleased with the product. It really does not leave a greasy film on my face, and it's enriched with Vitamin E, collagen/elastin and aloe vera extract, which has moisturising properties. It is also dermatologist-tested.
However, the white cream took a while to sink in, which means that you would look paler than usual, waiting for the stuff to be absorbed. Also, it is only water-resistant, not water-proof, and the SPF number, at 23, is a little low. In addition, it is not stated explicitly whether or not we are protected against both UVA and UVB.
Despite these, this product is a worthwhile investment which I recommend for oily and fair asian skins like mine.
