Pros: None. Cons: Poor quality sprayer. Doesn't kill any weeds.
Bayer Advanced Southern Weed Killer for Lawns is the poorest excuse for a weed killer I can imagine. You might just as well fill the jug up with water and squirt away for all the good it does. The only difference I noticed when using Bayer was that the ...

Pros: Non-staining dye marker shows treated weeds, doesn't kill surrounding grass Cons: Too slow to work, didn't kill much
Southern lawns can have some of the thickest, greenest, most lush grasses and gardens youve ever seen. The problem is weeds namely the broadleaf variety. These, I think, are the hardest to control. The particular group that takes up ...

Pros: Big Fat Zero Cons: Not a safe product to use on lawns.
Like most Americans I take pride in the general health of my lawn, fertilizing routinely, pulling weeds, reseeding bad or damaged areas, watering, and mowing on a regular basis. So its no surprise the anger and frustration one feels when a product ...

HORRIBLE PRODUCT - RIP OFF!!!
by f97sig ,Apr 29 '09
Pros: There is nothing good to say about this product. Cons: It doesn't work!
I purchased two gallons for my small yard (to ensure total kill of crab grass) and it didn't even inhibit the growth of the crab grass! I called the 800-customer service number and they tried to give me every excuse they could think of to state why it failed to kill my weeds. They even tried to tell me that it didn't work bc I used an industrial sprayer instead of using the cheap spray nozzle that came with the gallon container. They also said that the all-in-one is meant only for spot treatment and not broad spraying; I replied with the fact that I DID use it as spot treatment in many areas and it still failed...oh well, lesson learned!!!

Bayer All-in-One Weed Killer for Lawns
by hochdahl ,Aug 30 '05
Pros: price Cons: doesn't work
This product is touted to kill all major lawn weeds, but even after applying it at nearly double strength, it only maimed the weeds, did NOT kill them. Bayer would not honor the money back satisfaction guarantee. I would not recommend this product.

TERRIBLE
by dlshannon ,Jul 18 '07
Pros: Kills everything. Grass too! Cons: Kills everything. Grass too!
First, let me say, I live in northern Florida and have a meticulous blue-green carpet of thick St. Augustine grass. After hearing about this Bayer product from one of the reps at Lowe's, I picked up a bottle about three weeks, (middle of June) and applied 1 ounce to a gallon of water like the directions said and spot treated my lawn, using a very quick spray on each and every small weed in my front lawn; I even had quite a bit left over. I did this in the evening, after the sun went down, because of the lower temperature and the fact that I would water in the morning before the sun came up. I'm very fussy about my landscaping, specially with a new product.
Now, fast forward three weeks; my lawn is an absolute MESS!! I have about 50 dead patches throughout my front lawn and the grass was killed right down to the soil. No dis-coloration. DEAD!
Safe yourself some heartache.

Bayer Advance Weed Killer Total Failure
by grayone ,Jul 30 '08
Pros: none Cons: Unless I have some unknown unrecorded weed this product does not perform as advertised.
This product was recommended to me by Lowe's. I was aghast when a red blotch appeared when the product was sprayed on the weed. This was eliminated when the sun hit, as stated on the bottle. However, the product is totally useless. I have sprayed the unknown weed at least four or five times, it bleaches to a lighter green but never dies. The product is a waste of time, money and totally frustrating. Instead consider an alternate weed killer. Or, just cut the invader out with a small sharp knife!
