Pros: Adds net six ports to your computer. Convenience factor. Form factor. Cons: You'll take a noticeable performance hit transferring large files.
Hello to everyone. I purchased this USB hub a few weeks ago and have been using it since I received it. Just for the record, indeed I am speaking of the Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-port Hub, Belkin manufacturer part number F5U237-APL-S. Let me run ...

SHORT REVIEW: One of the best USB hubs
by aurigus ,Dec 19 '06
Pros: Convenience, Price, Stability Cons: None I can think of!
This hub by Belkin is one of the best USB hubs out there. I've had a few, and this one takes the cake for a number of reasons:
1. Ports - 7 Ports Total (5 in back, 2 on top)
2. Availability - 2 ports on top make easy access for a USB Drive or other frequently used USB accessory.
3. Status Lights - Allow you to see which ports in use.
4. Price - Only $20 at buy.com with Google Checkout
5. Stability - Belkin is a known name brand and I have had no issues with my USB Hubs
Also - you can stack 2 on top of each other, for 4 top ports and 10 back ports total. It is a powered hub, which is good for desktops since some devices draw a lot of power (portable hard drives are one such device).
I bought 2 of these - and loved them so much I bought 2 more. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a USB Hub!
