Pros: good size to carry in pocket, removable pocket clip, no huge antenna to worry about. Cons: if you're around trees...the range is terrible, wont even work near 1/2 a mile.
good if you're not in a crowded area and if you are not around a lot of trees. not all that great in a Mall either.
If you're in a desert style area then the radios work pretty well.
