Cons: I think its a little deceiving that the shapes give the idea these are healthy.

My dog is not a big dog treat lover.  She would much rather have a bite of cheese, Peanut butter in her kong, or a pig ear.  I got 2 samples of these in a Beneful packet of goodies.  Had a sample of the dry food she already eats, the Snackins, and some of the wet food they offer.  We offered her one & usually she turns her nose up to anything new.  Requiring some baby talk & coaxing to try usually.  A friend of mine gets those all natural bakery doggie treats from a specialty store and I can rarely get Nancy to eat them completely if she even tries them at all. She snapped at the snack right away after a quick sniff!  Loves them!  Tail waggin' lip lickn' bright eyed reaction. So the first night my husband delighted in her happy reaction, fed her like 6 one right after the other! The next day she had bright green stool that was kinda loose.  She doesn't have any symptoms if we only give her like 3-4 a day spaced out. She enjoyed them so much I will very likely buy a bag once the samples run out.

Pros: I like the Purina Beneful brand.  Their wet dog food is excellent.
Cons: It gave my dog green "runs".

I bought a bag of the Beneful Snackin Slices at Wal-Mart because they looked interesting and I like the other Beneful products.  I didn't read the label nor look too close at the product before buying (shame on me).  I gave one of the green "treats" to my 9-lb dog today and she has had green "runs" ever since.  She doesn't feel well and I feel bad for giving her the treat.

perhaps this treat is meant for bigger dogs....   but it didn't say that on the label.

Oh my people-Don't let cute packages & fun shapes fool you. Do not feed your dog any highly processed "treat" and stay away from sugar and by products and dyes- If I wouldn't eat it, my dog certainly doesn't get any less quality. And dogs DON'T NEED SUGAR- that's purely to satisfy human weakness.  There are SO MANY other products at specialty pet supply stores, although Petsmart is lacking on treats that are "natural".  Just read the label and keep it simple.
My dog loves mini carrots and my own simple homemade dog cookies.. there a 100's of recipes on-line.. NO GARLIC though!
