Just Purchased King Mattress
by davidchicago75 ,Jan 11 '06
Pros: PRICE WITH EQUAL Tempur-Pedic Quality. Cons: The slight smell, but that should go away in a couple weeks.
Bottom line - I cant see spending $2400 for a Tempur-Pedic when Bergad.com is the practically the SAME Mattress. I saved 1500 and it didn't take any time to get used to sleeping on memory foam (in fact, I slept better because I couldn't feel the bed moving from my partner tossing and turning).
The delivery was fine...but I felt bad for the 1 driver walking the mattress up the stairs. The mattress came in perfect condition. There is an initial smell...it doesn't bother me...but I was prepared to sleep on our old bed for a couple of weeks to give the smell time to disappear.

Superb Quality, No Odor, Lovely Customer Service, Great Price, Excellent Shipping Experience, American-made, Consistent Density
by epinion20164 ,Jul 21 '06
Pros: American-made and of guaranteed consistent density, no strong odor Cons: none
I was familiar with Bergad's Isoform products from research I did when buying a mattress topper alone for our too-hard mattress, 7 months ago. That came within 5 days at holiday
time, had no strong odor, and fixed our problem. So when it came time to outfit our small children with big-kid beds, I looked to Bergad again. I got informative answers, small-town friendly ("we don't use customer numbers, just use your name") customer service, and the items arrived just 48 hours after I ordered them by phone! Phenomenal. And they're in great shape; the shipping company was superb and the driver even unwrapped them with my permission and brought them to the kids' bedroom for me (but perhaps it was pity for my advanced state of pregnancy that led him to bend the rules a bit for me). The kids are too little to provide a meaningful review, but they're having a great time flopping on their new beds!

Very Unhappy
by bigdog1000 ,Jun 13 '06
Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Way to soft, horrible customer service
I ordered a 4 inch mattress topper from them. I didn't like it because I sank so far down into it that is was like sleeping on the worst mattress of my life!! I then called the company to ask to send it back, since they advertise a 90day sleep trial and they wouldn't take it back. What a joke!!! I think I am going to take them to small claims court to get my money back since they advertise that you can return items, but you really can't. I am extremely dissatisfied and unhappy with the product and the service.

Bergan isoform-DO NOT BUY
by lpop1230 ,Oct 11 '09
Pros: Mattress shipped very quickly and we didnt have any problems with the delivery company. Cons: Uncomftorable and sagged/sunk in within 2 months.
This is the worst mattress we have ever purchased. Within 2 months of buying this mattress it completely sunk in, in the middle. This made the mattress so uncomftorable we couldn't even sleep in it anymore. We attempted to flip the mattress over in hopes of a better night sleep. This did not work either and after 2 months we had to purchase a different mattress. I strongly recommend not buying this mattress. We spent just under $1k and we were forced to replace the mattress within 2 months. I cannot think of a worse investment than that!!!!

Great Product, Until There is a Problem!
by cjkbme2w ,Sep 11 '09
Pros: Comfortable Mattress, Low Price Cons: Worst Customer Service
I got the Luna mattress in late 2007 and have been very pleased with the sleep I have received since that time. However, the top foam material is starting to crack and also slide away from the underlying foam. These layers use to be flush when I got the product.
My repeated attempts to contact Bergad to ask about this problem have gone unanswered and I would have to rate this the worst customer service experience I have had.
I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB.

The Luna Model
by mcgar ,Dec 06 '07
Pros: Great sleep, great comfort, great price. Cons: No cons at all.
Got the Luna model (king) in July. It is amazing!
I used to get out of bed like a 80 year old man; back aching, neck hurting, etc, etc. 2 weeks later, I spring out of bed, pain free.
The mattress is as comfortable as can be. I had reservations that the mattress would be to "hot" as I tend to heat up while I sleep. I've noticed no discernable increase in temperature from my old mattress.
I would recommend this brand/mattress to anyone who wants a great nights sleep.
Bye the way, did I mention that this brand is about 1/2 the cost of Tempurpedic?

Shopping and could use feedback
by sleepyhead444 ,Jul 07 '08
Pros: Very comfortable Cons: Customer service not helpful
For some reason my original message didn't post, so here goes.
These reviews have been helpful. We have a store locally that carries Isoform, and the firm mattress is extremely comfortable--we're considering purchasing one. However, overall customer service has not been good and I'm concerned about the numerous complaints by reviewers regarding phone/online customer service, especially if the buyer has problems with the product. Also, I'd like to hear more from reviewers after they've owned their bed for one+ years--is it holding up? Is it still comfortable? How much indentation? A few reviewers have expressed problems with wear/degradation that's causing sleepless nights, and I'd like to find out if this product will stay comfortable for the long haul. Thank you.

Isoform Pillows
by toppro ,Aug 28 '06
Pros: Good quality BUT TOO FIRM Cons: Poor customer communications /poor attitude
Way firmer than competing name brand - a bit too firm but that is a subjective call for most - but I found the pillow to be almost rigid. Nice quality but just too firm.
Shipping was mishandled and item was shipped to wrong address but confusion ensued between the shipping address and the billing address. They offered so solutions and were generally less than helpful after they shipped to billing address 400 miles away.

customer service stinks!
by caipirinhachic ,May 08 '08
Pros: good for about a year . . . Cons: mattress will not hold up-- foam not dense enough, even if you are very light.
If you call with a problem, like i did (a defective mattress) and reach customer service rep "Roseann" she will be of no help. Will give you the run around. Told me to fax in my receipt, which I did then when I called to see if she received it, she stated she did and it was on the "manager's desk" and that he would call me within the next day. Never called. I then emailed to say, "what's up?" never heard back from her. This went on for over three weeks. Finally called back and spoke to "Saul" who said he would "look into this."

3 1/2 years later terrible back pain
by rosskell ,Apr 26 '08
Pros: it was much cheaper than a tempurpedic Cons: it doesn't last
We bought our bergads isoform mattress a little over 3 years ago. It was great up until my wife started having some back pain that she never had before. Then a while later I noticed I was waking with lower back pain. We knew that the mattress was softer on the sides that we slept on and that is felt as though there was a dip on either side. We switched to sleeping on the bed in the spare room and the back pain was immediately gone.
Bergads claims that the breakdown of the foam is normal wear and is not covered by their warranty. There is a perceptible dip on either side of the bed but not the 3/4 inch that is required to be a manufacturing defect.
We demonstrated to them the problem by placing a brick at different locations on the mattress and took pictures of the differing heights it sank to. In some placed it sank less than 1/8 inch in others it sank almost a whole inch. Effectively this mattress sleeps like a mattress with broken springs.
My parents have had a tempurpedic for 8 years and I feel no perceptible sag in it.

Great mattress for 2 years only
by jinjo ,Jan 06 '08
Pros: Very comfortable when i first bought the mattress.Customer service great when selling the mattress. Cons: After 2 years foam started to crack.Merchant did not honor warranty.Put on hold forever.
The mattress was good for about 2 years after that it started to develop massive cracks in the foam.I called customer service.
They said to sent pictures of the mattress which I did.Everytime i called they would put me on hold forever. They never honored the 10 year warranty they promised.Because it was an expensive mattress i had to overlay it with a 3 inch isofoam pad from sinking into the cracks.

Tried another, went back to Isoform
by phiarphly ,Jul 11 '08
Pros: Cool. Not too soft. Reasonably priced. Cons: Not too soft (if you like really soft mattresses)
We bought an Isoform mattress for one bed and were very pleased. We then bought a different brand for another bed because it was on sale. The other brand was too hot and less deforming than the Isoform, and we were quite unhappy with it. We went to a lot of trouble to return it, and then bought a second Isoform. Now we're happy. It really is an excellent mattress, and our experience with the company has been completely positive.

Very hard mattress
by tillerb ,Sep 03 '05
Pros: Supportive mattress
Does not sag in the middle or ends Cons: Extremely firm - you might wake up sore
Only one sided - no flip
I bought this mattress in April 2005. I strongly considered returning it because it's so firm that I was waking up with pressure sores. I'm 6'2", 185 lbs with an athletic build. I decided to try this mattress because of my herniated disk at L5-S1. My previous mattress was on the soft side, had begun to sag in the middle and I was waking up with severe back pain on a frequent basis. Anyway, I decided to work with this mattress because the temperpedic mattress cost around 3 times more, and I tried them out at the nearby Relax the Back store, and did not find them to be much more comfortable. Long story short, I went to overstock.com and bought 3 items that made this bed comfortable enough to sleep on: a urathene mattress topper, a feather down mattress topper, and a mattress cover. It took these 3 items to make this rock hard mattress comfortable enough to sleep on, while still having the support I need for my back.
