Pros: WAS inexpensive, good ink quality, dependable. Cons: NOW is not dependable.
Yikes! The bic round stic (medium point blue) used to be my favorite pen because it is basically disposable, has a dark enough line, and the ink doesn't smudge badly if I put my hand on it.
However, I have seen a big drop in quality in the past two years or so. Now most of the round stic pens I get at the college or buy in an office supply store DON'T WORK. I have to spend several minutes scribbling on scratch paper to get the ink flow to start, and then it is intermittent. Where I used to lose the pens before they went dry or otherwise stopped working, now I am throwing away at least one pen per day, and usually more. On occasion I have to throw away two or three pens before I find one that works.
What other brands do people like me, ex-bic stic fans, like these days?
