I had a canister vac about 10 years ago and grew to hate it. I felt it was bulky, hard to move around. I detested the chore of running the vac anyway, but this canister made me grumble even more. I swore of canisters! Since then I think I've had 2 uprights. My latest was a bagless that is so heavy, in my opinion, even with the swivel wheels, once again I grew to hate the chore of running a vac in my home. I saw and ad for the Bissell DigiPro on TV last week. I was intrigued. I looked up more info on the internet. I was impressed enough, sight unseen, I ordered one. Received it the other day and I'm still IMPRESSED. The canister and powerhead/brush are very well made. The entire unit is easy to move around and very light. The motor is exceptionally quiet. Works well on carpet and hard floors. I think it's GREAT!

I told my husband, "Don't throw the box away, we'll probably have to send it back".
After vacuuming the area rugs, the hardwood and ceramic floors and the furniture we threw the box out.
This Bissel is light weight, extremely easy to manuver, vacuums UNDER all the furniture, I'll never have to move sofa's and chairs again.
The attachments are small and convenient and the power from the machine makes the attachments work 100%.
I was willing to try the Bissell, ordering it online, because there were no negatives in the two reviews I read, and I am TOTALLY pleased.

Cons: Carpet debris gathers in belt area produces a burning smell. Sensor for bag doesn't work.

Used this vacuum once a week for three months and accumulation of debris was gathering in belt area of powerbrush. We didn't notice the problem until the vacuum produced a burning smell. Bissel tells me that this isn't covered under warranty if debris is caught in the belt area. They also recommend cleaning this area regularly which is only accessable with removing 6 screws and taking the powerbrush apart!

I believe this is a poor design, the belt is place about an inch away from the outside edge of the roller. I had a Dirt Devil for 10 years and never had a problem.

Bag sensor doesn't work.

This will be the first & last Bissel I will ever own.

Canister vacs are typically more expensive than uprights. I was amazed at the quality vs. price of this canister! The vacuum arrived in the box with 12 vacuum bags included, which is an added bonus! I had owned a Kenmore canister for 3 years (I think I paid around $500 for it), and it spent most of the time in the repair shop! I finally threw it away & bought this vacuum. I was worried that "you get what you pay for"; if I spent $500 & received a piece of junk-what kind of vacuum would I receive for $120?? For $120 I received a vacuum that looks great & performs like no other. The smaller power brush fits into tight places, the filters are washable, and it looks great. I will definitely buy one again!

I like the Digipro vacuum cleaner. It is light, powerful and easy to use. But no dealer in town (Albuquerque, NM with 700,000 people) has heard of it or carries parts like bags & belts. Furthermore, it's even hard to find these parts on the internet. I probably would not buy it again for this reason.

Price I paid was good for what I got (w/coupon it came to about $135 and ordered online and I picked up at the store), but the quality isn't very heavy duty. Having said that, it's lightweight and maneuvers easily.
Pros: nice looking, quiet; long cord that self stores inside the unit and telescoping wand that is convenient for reaching high spots yet compresses easily for storing in smaller space.
Cons: only comes with 3 attachments (no floor brush); the hose kinks easily and is very thin (only a matter of time before I see a crack I'm certain of it); the hose has to be in the exact right spot on the body of the vacuum (rotating connector) for the powerhead to turn on (must be a loose connection in there); bag is smaller than any canister bag I've ever owned.

Pros: Able to reach under certain furniture as long as it's not too low.
Cons: Vac-head suction too weak. Unable to suck sand, kitty litter, small gum size paper.

Originally bought product for HEPA filter system. We thought it would clean up household allergens. It seem to make them worse.

If you need to vacuum frequently for pets and kids do not buy this machine. Poor edge cleaning, does not fit under the edges of low furniture or baseboard heating, no full sized floor brush to reach the places the powerhead doesn't fit into, cannot locate bags locally. Go for the Kenmore.

Cons: Hose will break and require $40 replacement each time!

Even with gentle use the hose will separate! When looking at the design I can see why. Any pressure on the flimsy plastic will cause this problem. Mine went within a couple of months. Bissell needs to redesign the hose, before anyone considers purchasing this item. I purchased another Kenmore, since my old one lasted 20+ years with a lot of use.
