Pros: Removes more traffic dirt than a dry vacuum. Cons: Not professional deep-cleaning and the bucket requires frequent refilling.
We have pets, to be specific, cats. Why, oh, why do we have these beasts that barf on the carpet, leave hair and do other atrocities that I am too delicate to mention here? Well, we love them despite it all. Our adopted kitties are rescue animals and not ...
Pros: Easy to use. It dimmed juice stains. The attachment was great for my ottomon. Cons: It is big and bulky. I am never sure where to store it.
We went to Sears looking to purchase a small spot cleaner. My husband and I were sick of the small spills and stains that saturate our carpet. We have small children, and two animals.
I went to the store prepared. I had researched on epinions.com...
Pros: No-brainer filling and use. Cons: Small tank; upholstery brush/hose pops off unexpectedly.
Okay. I didn't actually buy this PowerSteamer; it belongs to my parents, who have been raving about it. My parents were coming for a visit this past weekend, so I asked them to bring it along for me to try out. I certainly was pleasantly surprised. I...
Pros: Easy to put together (2 parts). Easy to use, lightweight, cleaned well. Cons: None so far
I just purchased this steamcleaner yesterday and used it the same day. Our dog had some recent accidents because of a allergy medication and I tried some doing some spot cleaning, but really need to do a thorough cleaning. After reading reviews and...
Pros: design of components, ease of use if it worked Cons: integrity of machine and lousy response by company
The design is pretty good, and ease of use would be fine, except it didn't work. I used it for an hour, then I could not push the machine forward. I called the trouble-shooting number, had to dismantle the machine, put it back together. This took a couple of hours on the phone. Then, It worked for about an hour, then would no longer extract water. I contacted the company, who said I had to take it to the technician (Two hour drive BTW) and possibly PAY for repairs as some things might not be covered under warranty???
I won't buy Bissell again by smwbugging ,Oct 02 '05
Pros: Nothing, only what I thought, convinence of having my own machine. Cons: Waste of money, time, don't work, NOT worth it.
I purchased this machine in Oct 2001. Thought it would be nice to have my own so I could do carpets when I wanted to. I have used it 3-4 times. It has been in for repairs 2 times, first in '03 and second time in '05. I didn't use it from July 2003, when it came back from being repaired, till today. In that time I was attending college, a broken foot, 2 surgeries and wasn't able to use it, even if it had worked anyhow. It sat in the closet for that time in the box that it was shipped back to me until 3 months ago, when my daughter wanted to borrow it. HA. I just got it back 2 days ago. I thought I am going to clean carpets today. HA. Three feet and it quit spraying water. Dang. I have wasted so much money on this machine that I would be further ahead to have hired my carpets cleaned by a professional, or even renting a Rug Doctor. I won't ever buy another Bissell product again. This is the first and last. I usually buy Hoover.
Pros: Great cleaning action for the price Cons: Couple of refills
I purchased this machine to clean up foot traffic and stains in front of my living room furniture. I was surprised that it completely removed the all the coffee stains and traffic areas throughout the house. I did however, pre-treat lightly with a Wal-Mart brand cleaner.
Running the machine is easy and refilling the spray container simple. Other then having to refill the container a couple of times, this is a great machine. What a perfect way to maintain your carpets.
My method was to spray pulling toward me, spray pushing away from me, then removing the water toward me, then removing water away from me. I think this coupled with the slow motion allowed the machine time to do its job. I think it is important to vacuum your carpets before cleaning and checking the lint trap in the spray container with each fill so that you will have full volume spray with each pass.
The value you save on professional cleanings and result you get is definitely worth it. I would recommend this machine to anyone.
