Pros: Cordless. Good trim time. Decent weight. Handle operating trigger. Automatic string feed. Cons: Lower handle adjustment. Light duty trimming.
I really, really do stuff besides pool/yard work chores. As a matter of fact, I would rather french kiss a mad rattlesnake than do yard work or clean the pool. I'd also rather hug a hungry polar bear than take care of yard work/pool equipment. So, it's ...
Pros: lightweight, cordless, holds charge well, auto advance twine Cons: broke the first day we used it!
Having used a gas trimmer/edger for years, I was so excited when my husband purchased this lightweight, cordless trimmer! Finally, I could work in the yard without injuring my back!
This trimmer/edger is very lightweight, has no cord to fight...
Pros: Cordless, auto-feed, rotating head, neat storage/charger Cons: Can't think of any
I bought the CTS1000 to go along with the CMM1000 mower I purchased last year (see review). The CTS1000 is easy to assemble and has the advantage of coming with an all-in-one charger/storage bracket. I finished my garage in pegboard and particle board ...
Pros: Small, light, inexpensive Cons: Poor design, prone to problems
Had a Ryobi battery operated string trimmer for about ten years, loved it. Battery finally died and couldn't find replacement so I searched around and found the B&D CST1000.
Bought it about three months ago, first thing I noticed was that it...
The perfect tool anyone can handle by isondr ,Oct 07 '05
Pros: Lightweight, works perfectly, affordable price. Cons: No cons that I can think of.
I was looking for a light weight trimmer that I could handle and one that would do the job. I am about 5' tall, in my 50's and had surgery on both hands. I happened to find the CST1000 at a local super store. I love this trimmer, it does the job and I like that it hangs up and charges itself. I did buy a strap to make carrying it much easier and all I have to do is wave it back and forth to cut down the weeds. I like it so much I bought a second one so that I could charge one while using the other. I am getting one for my mom as she, at 75 years old, does all her own yard work!
disappointed with battery operation time by jeannermt ,Aug 29 '08
Pros: lightweight--trims well Cons: battery life is too short!!!!!
The battery life of my trimmer from day one has been 5 minutes which is impossible to make a dent in the trimming ----I have only had it a year and yesterday the cord assembly fell out while trimming and I can't get the cord to stay back in---a part fell out or the cap is broken......
For as long as we've owned this thing, it never held a charge properly. After less than two years, it will now run for about 90 seconds after a full day's charge. I highly discourage anyone from purchasing this product.
