Pros: Virtually effortless bread making. Perfect loaves every time. Minimal clean-up. Big loaves. Good price. Cons: None, except you can't put the pan in the dishwasher. (How lazy am I ?!)
If you've ever made bread the "old fashioned" way, you'll know what I mean when I mention "effort".
I remember making bread with my mother and grandmother - all of that kneading and waiting and kneading some more. That added up to a whole...

Pros: Easy to use Cons: Difficult to clean outside of machine
I bought this product when I was pregnant and my husband was sick of going to the bakery for fresh bread. Actually he bought it.
I love this product because you don't have to be a chef. You just measure out the ingredients and the...

Pros: Very Easy To Use Cons: Bread Holder (wher it cooks at) need to be a little better to make bigger bread
My friends mom got the bread maker for Christmas this year. Since she loves making bread I thought mmmmm.....I'm gonna get to try all the bread she makes. Well, I was right. She's loves this machine! She makes the most awesome bread with this bread...

Pros: Easy, great tasting Cons: Takes a while
There is no bread like bread fresh out of the oven.....or the bread machine. The bread that you buy at the bakery doesn't even compare (or I must really have some bad bakeries around here). Whenever I cook bread from this machine, I usually end up...

Pros: Makes delicious, healthy bread. Cons: You have to buy the ingredients and follow a recipe.
Preparing meals and baking at home has become completely unheard of lately. There is instant this and instant that, and it's all very well and good as it makes more time for other things. But sometimes you can't match the aroma of freshly baked goods and...

Pros: wonderful as an alarm clock Cons: bad for diets
We have only had this incredible machine since December 1999 - it was an early Christmas present to ourselves.
Since then we have both put on weight. It is so hard to diet when you wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread. The smell...

Pros: While it worked, we all LOVED having homemade bread. Cons: Very poor quality machine that breaks easily.
My husband bought me this for my birthday and I was thrilled as I had really been wanting to try it. It worked great for about 6 months and then the paddle at the bottom just stopped rotating one day. It would work when the machine was empty but when ...

Pros: Delivers perfectly proofed dough in 2 hours with less than 4 minutes of setup time Cons: As is likely in most machine breads, the loaf comes out like a giant muffin.
I found the bread out of the machine not nearly as good as the bread I was able to make just by having the machine proof the dough over a 2 hour cycle and then by baking it in a convection oven. Otherwise the loaf was like a giant muffin.
The...

Pros: Easy to use, consistent end result. Cons: BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP....and if you lose your manual, you're hooped.
I have to agree with everyone's assessment that the machine is very easy to use and produces consistently nice bread. I also have to agree with everyone's assessment that the beeping noise is quite like fingers on a chalkboard. I've tried to use this ...

Pros: Loved the machine...easy to use & great results every time... Cons: Very poor customer service...to Canada anyway...
I have had my B&D breadmaker for about 3 years & use it probably once a week & have excellent results every time. It's easy to use & have tried all kinds of bread & rolls in it. That being said, 2 days ago I proceeded to make a load of bread...measured ...

Pros: Makes bread that looks and smells great! Cons: Not a well-made machine. Consider a different brand.
I purchased the B1561 at the end of Feb '06. I used it about once a week for about 6 weeks when I noticed motor grease at the bottom of the oven chamber where the bread pan connects to the oven chamber. I called B&D to ask if this was normal and I was ...

Pros: quiet, inexpensive Cons: undercooked loaf
I purchased this product mainly because of the brand name and that it was in a sale flyer at the time. I already owned the larger horizontal Black& Decker machine and am pleased with it. I must admit this machine was quieter in operation than the...

Pros: makes great bread, easy to use and clean up Cons: none
Bread...How cool would it be if you could make the same smelling and even better tasting bread that you get at resturants? Well Black and Decker has come up with a good idea to make you bread dreams come true. This bread machine is the best thing and...

Pros: making bread is easier Cons: bread to brown and hard
My breadmaker is a Black and Decker. I like the breadmaker because of the ease of making bread. I purchase packaged mix, then follow the directions from the machine. I can set the breadmaker to the setting I want and go about my day. However, I find...

Pros: sooo easy Cons: kinda noisy
I recieved the black and decker all in one horizontal automatic breadmaker at my bridal shower as a gift. I didn't think that it was going to be very useful...boy was I wrong! I use this bread machine all the time. My husband laughed at me for asking...
