Pros: A few extras, adjustable cord length. Cons: Noisy, grinding area not big enough.
I love beer. That much should be obvious to those of you who have read my many brew reviews. I have a confession to make, however. As much as I love a good brew in the evening, I equally relish a robust brew in the morning. And no, I’m not talking about ...
Pros: Inexpesnsive, easy to use, easy to clean. Cons: Noisy.
When I'm not too lazy, I grind my own beans in the morning. I like the intense flavor you get from freshly ground coffee beans. I also like the pleasant aroma that grinding the beans creates. I love the smell of coffee in the morning, and grinding the ...
Pros: Turns spices to powder quite well, when it wants to. Cons: Only turns spices to powder when it wants to.
I've been faithfully using this grinder for about three years now and I have never felt any real emotions toward it; however I am doing reviews about my coffee products so the time has come to actually articulate what I have noticed. The main thing I've ...
Pros: Excellent grind consistency, fast, powerful, quiet. Cons: Small amount of static.
I have owned several blade-type grinders over the years. I've owned Braun, Krups, La Pavoni, Melitta, and others. I grind coffee every morning, so they get a regular workout, and they usually wear out after a few years of use. I like a very fine ...
Pros: Famous name, cheap. No difficult inter-lock. Cons: Does not grind coffee well, a b-tch to clean.
When I bought my Krups coffee maker, I also bought a GE coffee grinder. We all lived happily together until one morning I had forgotten to set up my timer for the morning coffee. I tried to make my coffee before having a cup. Can you say MESS! ...
Pros: Easy to use, reasonable price, with brush attachment Cons: Difficult to clean
I had never used an electric coffee grinder until I bought this one. So, I cant compare it with other products.
I am satisfied with this one. Coffee beans grind up fine. I sometime grind up almonds to make cakes. (This product can grind up some kinds of nuts and spices.)
In my opinion, cleaning the coffee grinder is difficult. A lot of powder flies around and sticks inside the cup and blades.
Pros: Nice compact size, grinds spices very nicely. Cons: The grinding bowl is too small and cleaning bowl is awkward.
Purchased this about 2 weeks ago for grinding spices only. As my title says I don't drink coffee. Purchased it mainly for the price, $16 at WalMart - saw others for $19 and above and did not want to spend over what I actually paid.
It is my first coffee grinder and it, so far, has ground up my spices pretty nicely. Have not gotten that powder, as others have indicated, but that's okay too. Basically I have no experience with other coffee grinders so I have nothing to compare this one to.
I do agree with the writers who state that the grinding area is too small and you will probably lose some of your ground coffee or spices, but that's life. I also agree with the writer who said that the ground is consistent, so no complaints there. The pop out cleaning brush is a welcomed necessity, but for whatever reason it does not make cleaning the grinder any less awkward.
I must not have as sensitive hearing as others, but the noise/grinding does not bother me.
Don't waste your money. It ground my coffee just great. Just great for the two times I used it, that is. Now I put the beans in, press down and nothing happens. Also, it was messy. Not only did the grounds fly out all over when I opened it but they spew endlessly out of the bottom. I can't imagine actually wrapping the cord around it without getting it covered with grounds.
