Pros: Fun and upbeat debut album; some good production and lyrics; girls can sing & rap Cons: Some songs are a tad boring
Summary: The Main Idea: Blaque (pronounced Black) virtually came out of nowhere in 1999. The first time I ever heard of them was when TLC had their 25 Favorite Videos List on MTV right around the release of FanMail. At #14, Left Eye introduced her ... read more

Pros: Balance of soft songs and bumpin songs Cons: I'm starting to doubt that I will find one
Summary: I got this album on sale at KMART at least a year ago. I listen to it off and on. You can get tired of the songs, but that's not until after a week or two. I've listened to it in phases. I've had phases of up to 3 weeks listening to it non-stop.

Pros: Great variation of tempos. Cons: Too much like TLC
Summary: If Blaque sounds a little like TLC at times, there's a reason for that -- the group was conceived by TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez and is the first release from her Left Eye Productions. She's off to a great start.
Like TLC, Blaque knows ... read more

Pros: cute pop r&B Cons: one of those girl groups, but they're african american
Summary: People may say that the only reason that the blaque CD is living is because of the gracious help of big pop stars like DESTINY, and NSYNC, but thats not true. These girls are truly talented. I think that there ARE many opinions on the basis of talent, ... read more

Pros: A couple of dance tracks Cons: Mostly slow jams
Summary: I bought this album because of the song "808" that I hear on the radio. What a letdown to find that the album edit is nothing like the radio edit. I was completely disappointed, especially since I don't like the song "Bring It All To ... read more

Pros: new category of music Cons: too many songs about love and boys
Summary: Well, I really liked this album, although I'm not usually a fan of the whole pop music thing, which is blended in with R&B on this group. You can't call them pop, they're too R&B, and don't sound anything like pop would normally sound (Britney ... read more

Pros: Very good group Cons: Need better vocal control
Summary: I've watched Blaque from when they came out with boom like a 808. That was a hit song. It had everything that hip-hop and R&B needed. The remix was even better. I think that coming up with the idea of using L L Cool J's track was really good. It went ... read more
