Pros: Excellent sound; Strong, clear signal if device remains stationary; great battery Cons: Unresponsive buttons; uncomfortable one-size-fits-all design; terrible construction
I have waited for some time to pick up a Bluetooth headset. Most have been miserable, or had small, battery-sized rectangles of plastic attached to the earbuds with cords, which seemed to defeat the purpose. The S9 Motorola MOTOROKR seemed a reasonable ...
Pros: Rugged, sweat-proof, decent battery life Cons: Poor sound, uncomfortable, incompatible with sunglasses, awkward controls
The phone that began the great quest for acceptable headphones I recently purchased an LG CU500v cell phone, which among it's many other features, includes a very nice Music/MP3 player...read my review on the LG CU500v here: ...
Pros: Price, Speech quality, Size, Battery life, included accessories Cons: - Bit too flashy & speaker a bit big for a good fit.
Previous Experience: Bluetooth headsets have revolutionized the hands-free concept. Long gone are the days where you were connected to your (technically) mobile device with wire. Ironically we convenience-seekers need a wireless ...
Pros: Good sound, buttons work well, comfortable, water-resistant. Cons: Weak microphone, phone answer delay, uncomfortable lying down.
I use the S9 with the Motorola Q and my Thinkpad X61T laptop. The S9 works very well as a stereo headset pairing with a computer or a phone to provide stereo music. It has a very good battery life (3-4 hours play time in my experience) and good sound ...
Pros: style, small size, and sound quality of sound Cons: price, may be limited to working out, can't really use it while driving.
I originally bought this for my son because of its high cool factor. He has a blackberry pearl with bluetooth capabilities. I bought the motorola s9 at fry's for $129.00. The price is a little high but since my son was graduating from High School, I ...
Pros: Great Sound, easy to use, very comfortable
Cons: Cellular calls only come through Mono on the left side.
After reading a couple other reviews on this site, I almost didn't buy this headset, but I am very glad I did. Although it is a little expensive in the retail stores, it can be found much cheaper online. Just be careful of the imitations they sell on ...
I bought these headphones to use in my office at my desk. Corded headphones would get in the way when trying to move from one side of my desk to the other. Having no cords is defiantly a plus. Thought the quality could be a lot better. There is some ...
Pros: It is easy to use. Holds a great charge. Can be charged anywhere. Cons: If you lose the charging cord, it's expensive to replace.
I wanted something that went into my ear. Pink in color was high on the list too. My hubby got me the pink Motorola one for Christmas. I didn't even bother opening it. I took that one back to the store and ordered this one online. Unit is much cheaper ...
Pros: Good color, nice pricetag. Reliable company Cons: No tilt for stand.
I purchased this a few months ago (Dec. 2007) at Circuit City for about $300. Despite the problems I've heard about this LCD being made in different countries and having inconsistent color... I've had no problems. I did however download a color profile after googling the model number. Which helped but didn't make a huge difference.
This is a great monitor for the price. Samsung is one of my favorite companies. I own a 32" CRT widescreen tv which I've had for about 3-4 years with no problems whatsoever.
I think it's rather funny that one can buy a 22" LCD for a computer (with only VGA and DVI connectors) for about $250 less. A Samsung 23" LCD HDTV will roughly cost you $550. Basically charging you for the extra connectors (for composite, component and HDMI not to mention audio if it has craptastic speakers in them). Do yourself a favor if you're in the market for a small HDTV, buy adapters from Monoprice to save yourself hundreds of dollars.
I digress, I highly recommend this monitor. My only negative is that it has no tilt. I have to place it on a box to be eye level.
Pros: Lightweight, great 'concept' for the gym Cons: Very poor durability (controls stopped working).
Ineffective warranty by Motorola
I totally agree with altonh's review. My S9's worked well for a couple of weeks. Then the buttons just stopped working! I don't believe this product is 'sweatproof', so I wouldn't use it at the gym.
To make matters worse Motorola will not honour it's warranty, as I purchased this product in US, but now live in Australia.
Great design but malfunctions constantly by bjakes ,Apr 18 '08
Pros: Comfortable to wear.
Easy to use when it works. (Six convenient, inconspicuous controls) Cons: It malfunctions in many ways and often.
Sound quality is only so-so.
I've been struggling with the S9 for three months. It hasn't worked half the time. I've experienced three types of malfunction. 1) The phones will interrupt listening with continuous loud beeps. (This is not a behavior documented in the booklet. By trial and error I learned that I can get the beeping to stop temporarily by holding the on/off switch down for a moment.) 2) The buttons stopped working after two months. The only one that works any more is on/off. I am not at all an abusive or heavy user. 3) Even when it works, the connection sometimes goes dead for a second or two at a time even when the player is only a foot or two away in my pocket.
I find the headset very comfortable and like the wrap-behind-the-head design.
Great Concept Poorly Executed by altonh ,Aug 23 '07
Pros: Great idea with great sound. Cons: Poorly designed electronics. It's supposed to be sweat-proof and it is NOT.
I bought an S9 from Computers4Sure.com. I primarily used it for listen to music while working out. It worked great for a couple of weeks. After that the buttons stopped responding properly if at all. Either it's poorly designed or not really sweat-proof as indicated (or booth). I sent mine back to Motorola for a replacement. The replacement came quickly enough, but it started malfunctioning similarly about 2 weeks after I started using it. I doubt seriously it has anything to do with compatibility issues with my phone because it worked perfectly for 2 weeks (going to the gym 5 days a week.)
Great features, utterly useless fit by z600 ,Aug 23 '07
Pros: Cool looks, lightweight, simple to use, lots of colors to choose from, multiple bundled accessories Cons: Terrible (TERRIBLE!) fit, mic picks up too much wind noise
The X3 has some really great things going for it. It's simple to use, lightweight, looks cool, and comes with a whole arsenal of accessories.
All of which are totally worthless if you can't fit it in your stinkin' ear.
Check around on the Net before you dive in. There are scores of reviews out there where people are having fitting issues. The speaker is too big for the average person's ear. It won't stay in, and it's borderline painful to use. I'm ditching mine ASAP.
