Pros: great looking, great way to brew tea, dishwasher safe Cons: smaller capacity
The Bodum Assam line of tea presses is a result of a request from the British Tea Council. America can't take credit for this - not until we form our own Tea Council and begin to commission top-rate ways to brew and serve a truly excellent cup of...

Pros: Cute design and easy to use. Great for a beginner or new tea drinker. Cons: Tea can taste bad if left in too long.

pretty fragile...
by sfveg ,Dec 14 '05
Pros: pretty, makes nice tea Cons: fragile. bodum rips off consumers on replacement parts.
really easy to break the snaps where the plunger screws underneath the lip of the carafe. be careful. bodum totally rips you off and charges 11.00 for a replacement filter (must buy it with the plunger, they don't sell it separately) and then they charge 10.00 postage.

Great little tea kettle!
by techwriter9999 ,Nov 30 '05
Pros: The plastic tea leaf strainer is incredibly easy to clean. Cons: The strainer allows minute bits of ‘tea dust’ to get into the tea.
I purchased the Assam 3 weeks ago because teatime for me is a chance to escape the hectic day for a few minutes, and the Assam helps make that time all the more special. It's a very good looking glass kettle that allows you to brew up tea for one to four people quickly and easily.
Its styling is elegant and modern, and even looks great sitting empty on my coffee table.
I would certainly purchase this product again.
