Pros: Easy to digest. Cons: Not as packed with Vitamins and Nutrients as other brands.
I have spent hundreds of dollars already on trying to get my proteins in. Protein, protein seems to be my surgeons motto. Since having the gastric bypass surgery, I have had to replace my proteins in the form of the most compact way possible, in order to ...

Pros: Great product, great tasting, affordable and versatile! Cons: Not a significant source of vitamins. Not for people with soy or lactose intolerance/allergies.
I bought this Vanilla Flavor Whey Protein Drink to have a substitute for high fat, high carb foods I normally end up consuming for breakfast and for snacks... of course, because I wanted to lose some weight, too... Flavor and Texture: The ...

love the Body Fortress Whey protein
by jandy321 ,Apr 30 '06
Pros: dissolves easily, low carb Cons: not very portable. make when needed
I've been having a whey shake for breakfast and lunch and a reasonable protein/veggie dinner.. i lost 14 lbs last fall and now hope to drop a few more before a wedding in mid-May.
I use about 2 Tablespoons of bottled lemon juice, 1/2 cup of water and a sprinkle of stevia in my Magic Bullet blender. It's great. I've even made "lattes" by blending into hot coffee.

Good Taste, Better Results
by darkspeaker ,Oct 31 '06
Pros: Inexpensive, tastes good Cons: Harder to find, not carried in most stores.
I have taken a lot of protein powders since I started bodybuilding, but most of them taste like they were scraped off the bottom of a garbage can and then packaged. When I first tried Body Fortress chocolate protein, I could have sworn it was pure cocoa powder for making chocolate milk. I had to look at the ingredients to make sure I hadn't picked up a tub of Nestle Quik! I have also tried to vanilla flavored version and it's just as good if not better!
Like most protein powders, it is made of whey protein concentrate which digests fast (in about 30 minutes) so it's good for post work out and for just boosting your protein intake for the day. On top of that, it's not as expensive as most proteins since it is a more generic brand and normally isn't more than $15 for a pound tub of protein. Good price, good taste, good results!

tasty and easy to make
by mrbeachy ,May 05 '07
Pros: A tasty alternative to high sugar, empty calorie drinks. Cons: Needs to be blended for best taste;not available in a ready to drink version.
Now that summer is approaching, i wanted to find an alternative to high sugar, empty calorie drinks like soda. i joined a local gym and several of the members recommended Body Fortress Whey Protein. This review is for the vanilla flavor in the 2 pound jar- the only one i could find.-It also comes in chocolate and other versions.
I mix it with milk-i use either Lactaid or Hood non-dairy drink. I add a banana and some ice, then blend it and voila !! out comes a tasty creamy milkshake. Without a blender, the powder tends to be lumpy and undissolved. I bought my jar at Target.Wal-mart,,and Drugstore.com also sell it.

Body Fortress Whey Protein
by spider63 ,Aug 22 '06
Pros: Reasonably priced, 23 grams of protein per serving. Cons: Not much nutritional value or amino acids.
When I finally ran out of that chalky protein powder I had been drinking (HDT 5+1 Whey); I was shopping at Wal-Mart and saw Body Fortress 100% Premium Whey Protein Powder at $11.93 for a two pound jug. The price is reasonable, and it delivers 23 grams of protein per one-scoop serving. Best of all, the Vanilla flavor tastes alright. In my humble opinion, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey still ranks #1 for flavor. However, Body Fortress is much better tasting than HDT 5+1!
Each serving of this Whey protein powder has 110 calories, 1 carb, and 35 grams of cholesterol. Unlike some of the more expensive brands that list dozens of amino acids, vitamins, and minerals; Body Fortress only has a handful listed on their label. This is just your basic Whey protein.
I googled Body Fortress Whey Protein and I was surprised at the number of people that have written about it on various forums! Some think it is very good, and others think it sucks. I guess that is different strokes for different folks! Anyone who thinks this stuff tastes awful needs to try HDT 5+1!!
