Eragon Becomes a Man - A Dragon Breaths Fire!

by aawehr Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jan 29 '07

Eragon finds his Geas

by shroud , Jan 21 '08
Pros: excellent characterisation, coherent storylines, epic, gripping read

Having heard nothing but praise for this book from my own teenaged sons and my young adult step daughter, and reading the rave reviews critics gave this children's book, I became curious. This turned to an intense desire to read this book when I ...

The Movie was sadly more original

by joanana , Mar 24 '07
Pros: It has dragons and there is potential in the story.
Cons: Cliches and blatant copying of ideas and themes abound!
Now where to begin? Eragon holds much promise in a time where the stories told of dragons still depicts them as monsters and authors still tend to treat them as mindless beasts, with a few notable exceptions. However I must confess, I found the ...

Eragon review
by nilssc413 ,Apr 23 '08
Pros: emotional story, based on a well-descripted world with a lot of fantasy
Cons: log and just another fantasy story
This is a story about a boy finding a dragon egg and running away to protect his firends from the evil king and his dragon, chasing him through a world full of fantasy and interesting animals never seen before.
Through his journey with his teacher he learns things he never imagined and grows to a man ready to fight. He will find out about things going much farther than he anticipated. On his way he has to master a lot of unexpected challenges and at the end he has to decide on which side he is standing.
This boom in my opinion is one of the best written books especially thinking about the age of the author. It is full of color but also describes a lot of emotions, up and down, which makes the whole book a joy to read.

Good Book.
by dreame3651 ,Mar 17 '07
Pros: just wonderful. Great story for everyone.
Cons: none.
This was a good book. I was amazed to find out how young the author was. I saw the movie also, which was good, However as in most cases the book was better. You were able to relate with the characters. I am finished reading this book, and cannot wait to get started on the 2nd. My eleven year old son is now reading it and also loves it, so it is good for all ages.

a great book
by daydreamerc ,Mar 15 '07
Pros: it is a great story, and very original
Cons: a bit slow at the start, and it ends kind of abrupty
Eragon was a great book, something fresh and very nice to see, it was a delight to read. The characters were well developed and believable as people. The book does get off to a slow start but it picks up if you stick with it and becomes much more fast pased.
