by talyseon talyseon is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Books, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Oct 24 '09
Pros: Great characters in plot driven action with a flowing writing style.
Cons: Perhaps a little cluttered with flavors of werewolves.
Fool Moon: The Dresden Files Volume II by Jim Butcher"So... Marcone had a fantastic motive to have Harding killed. It broadened his financial empire, and put him in a position to gouge MacFinn for as much money as he possibly ...

Chicago Wizard Harry Dresden takes on Organized Crime, the FBI, and Werewolves in Fool Moon

by Bookwyrm_Mel , Aug 16 '01
Pros: tight prose and pacing; engaging first person narrative
Cons: some gender stereotyping; too much blood'n'guts for the squeamish
Werewolves jumping through windows at gangster's lackeys in unfinished restaurants. A mangled corpse in the middle of a blood-drenched floor. Berserk FBI field agents drawing guns and shooting to kill. A little kung fu, a little John Wayne, and a few...

One werewolf, Two werewolves, three werewolves......

by jnbmoore, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jul 28 '08
Pros: interesting story
Cons: first half a bit hard to keep track of
Chicago is home to many things. The Cubs. The Sears Tower. Barack Obama. Second City Comedy Troupe. And in Fool Moon by Jim Butcher there are werewolves. Many different werewolves – some cursed others by choice. The problem with werewolves is they ...

WIZARD HARRY DRESDEN TAKES ON WEREWOLVES

by mike.holmes mike.holmes is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Books, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Apr 16 '08
Pros: Great characters, great writing style
Cons: Very violent-not for children or those with weak stomachs
"Fool Moon" is the second "Dresden Files" novel written by Jim Butcher. The first book, "Storm Front", introduced Harry Dresden as the only wizard in the Yellow Pages. It was full of action but this book is even better. THE PLOT While Harry ...

Buffy's James Marsters reads Jim Butcher's Fool Moon

by phungus phungus is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Books, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Feb 15 '08
Pros: Much better than the first book, lots of intrigue
Cons: Marsters reading was too sleepy
Fool Moon is the second book in Jim Butcher’s wildly original Dresden Files series, which are the adventures of a modern day wizard named Harry Dresden. This series of books also spawned a short-lived TV series on the Sci-Fi Channel called ...

A furry pack of trouble for Harry
by carolelgin ,Feb 15 '07
Pros: Butcher's sense of humor. Characters you will love to keep as friends.
Cons: Suburban fantasy is not for everyone
In this second installment of the Harry Dresden Files we meet a very interesting pack of werewolves. True to form with Jim Butcher, we seldom meet then forget characters. I expect we will see more of this basket of puppies.

Butcher's sense of humor shows hardily in Fool Moon. It is best described as sarcasm meets tongue in cheek. Dry and funny. Harry’s self depreciation is met evenly with his ability to work his way out of any situation. The way out often leaves one chuckling.

A good read. A good series.
