Pros: *Intricately woven and well-developed characters. *Intense love story, etched with pain and honor. *Emphasis for abstinence. Cons: Books 1&2 - ok for teens Books 3&4 - need censoring by parents
What can I say? This 34 year old mom fell for the bait that her middle school daughter fed her - hook, line, and sinker! Stephanie Meyer managed to take a blushing dream and warp it into an amazingly intricate, edge-of-your-seat love ...
Pros: An inspirational romance and drama that drives its readers to stand for something. Cons: The Twilight Saga is in some ways cheesy, cliche and predictable.
I have never been the kind of girl to follow the crowd. Most fads are uninteresting to me. I loathe unending fashion trends and the constant changes in cliques and popularity. Paying attention to what is 'in' and 'out' of style, whether it be clothes, ...
Pros: Entertaining as light reads. Suitable for pretty much any age group over 12. Cons: Very cliched. Ending is a disappointment.
The Twilight saga is a book that turns traditional vampire concepts upside down. Its main character, Bella, is a walking talking I-hate-myself machine who simply never shuts up about how ugly and clutzy she is. We get the point, we don't need to hear it ...
Pros: Captivating story with potential, romance, thrills Cons: Lack of values and lacking complexity of characters
When I was seventeen, I heard about the Twilight series from my cousin. I immediately thought, "Ew, a book about vampires! No thanks!" But on her recommendation, I started to read the first book, Twilight. I was intrigued from ...
Pros: A good, easy and fun book! well written! Cons: Doesn't have a very good plot.
"Have you read Twilight? You didn't?!?!? You Have to!!!" I've heard this over and over again from many friends. So finally, in order to quiet my friends, I borrow it from one of them and start reading it.That was it- I started ...
Pros: Very engaging series that leaves you wanting more. Cons: The first three books don't have too much action until the last few chapters.
I love the Twilight Series. I am currently reading the books for the third time, and I am still not sick of them. These books really engage the reader and bring out the emotions of the characters. It is easy to get caught up in the ...
Pros: It keeps you reading for hours and hours with its suspense and thrills. Cons: Not many, but the last two are probably of a PG-13 to R rating.
Stephenie Meyer really knows what she is doing. The Twilight Saga are worldly popular books, that are also being turned into movies. It is no wonder why so many other authers are trying to ...
Pros: Addicting characters and a plot that constantly keeps you involved. Cons: The 4th book seems to end abruptly.
The Twilight Saga is no stranger to most of the world. It has swept the world off their feet with it's intricate love story and characters we feel compelled to relate with. For the most part you hear about young teenagers raving over the series, ...
Pros: A few likeable characters. Cons: Bad story flow. Fangirl/fanfiction ending.
While I admittedly liked the first book and a bit of the second, the third and fourth were just ridiculous. If I wanted to read about a cliche (in a bad way) and badly flowing story I would have just stuck to fanfiction. Not only was Edward a complete pansy, but the whole 'Going to highschool for hundreds of years and moving constantly' didn't make sense. The beginning of the book was fine but constantly got boring and confusing. Not to mention that the vampires sparkle. Just add a white horse and sunset and you'll have it made. I couldn't bear to read the last book where he impregnates her even though she's still just a teenager! I'm not saying that everyone will think this is a horrible series, just that I'm part of the group of people who extremely disliked the whole story. I'm as much of a sucker for a good paranormal romance as the next person, but this honestly just felt like a fangirls wet dream written in a fanfiction.
Pros: - A great read for a leasurely afternoon- An inexpensive fix to boredom Cons: - First and second books are good for teenagers. Third and fourth? Bad!
The Twilight Series, written by award winning author Stephenie Meyer, has sold over one million copies. With it's intricately woven story line and thrilling plots, who could resist? In these books Bella, your not so average teenage girl, crosses thrilling adventures and encounters dangerous villains. There beside her awaits her love, Edward Cullen, a vampiric hero. Not your average vampire story, the Twilight Saga, has captured the hearts of millions of people across the US.
Not Your Typical Vampire Story! by hellokitty3186 ,Dec 15 '08
Pros: Amazing, hard to put down, great story & characters Cons: Needs to go on forever! =]
The Twilight Saga, which contains books: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, are irresistable! I can't imagine anyone picking up the first book, and not reading the rest!
I read all 4 books (quite big books) in 3 weeks! They are so hard to out down, and they really are for any age. The "vampire" theme isnt what you expect at all! Not your typical blood sucking, killing people type story. Not Dracula at ALL!!
The next book will be called Midnight Sun, but has not been released yet.
Pros: a page flipping book set you wont be able to put down Cons: none
A really great idea for girls from ages 12 to 200 and boys from 10 to 100. A excellent story about a accident prone klutz who falls a lot and scraps her knees and falls in love with a really sexy vampire and falls in love with,, without expecting it.The longer you read the more hooked you will find yourself. This is only the first book. This box set also contains New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. I love this set because it made me want to keep reading and not put it down. It made me feel young again. I really got caught up in the story. It made me feel like I wanted to be Bella in the story. A must have for all ages.
Twilight is one of the best books I have ever read. by scarpen ,Aug 14 '09
Pros: - Good for teens - Romantic - easy to read - Medium sized text - Thrill Seeker Cons: - You'll hear about it everywhere, it gets annoying after a while. - Too much sold
This book is amazing! Stephanie Meyer- The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide is a fun, flirty, adventurous, and romantic book. When reading it, one will not stop. It is full of juicy details. What I don't like about the book is the movie. The characters were supposed to be more better looking as portrayed in the book. But overall they did a great job in making the movie. I would recommend this book to teens, parents, or anyone that just wants a good read. It will have one dying for more! Edward, the main character in the story is described as handsome and romantic. When a girl reads this book, they will literally fall for him like I did! It's that amazing. Who knew a character from a book can make girls fall in love? I didn't. This is actually my favorite book and I can't wait for more releases coming out soon! Stephanie Meyer should definitely be rewarded for her outstanding books and great recommendations.
Complex and Thought-provoking by abipk ,Nov 22 '09
Pros: Any age group can relate to it. Cons: Large words, gotta break out the dictionary!
Stephenie Meyer combines interesting characters with intricate plots to create the wonderful Twilight Saga. Aimed mainly towards teens and women, and occasionally men, the stories are all about love and loss, trust and temptation, worry and wonder.
