Pros: cheap, open late, enchiladas, beans, strawberry margaritas Cons: tends to bland, rice, no desserts, slightly smaller portions than the competition
The Border Cafe in Harvard Square is one of those places that always spring up near colleges - the restaurant with decent but cheap food, lots of alcohol, and late hours. The instant you step inside the noise of a dozen drunken conversations overwhelms ...

Pros: REALLY inexpensive, tasty, 'Cajun' AND 'Mexican' menus! Cons: It's not the most amazing and authentic food
On a birthday request from my fiancé, I recently experienced my first trip to the Border Café (Burlington, MA location). Always a fan of Mexican food, even cheap imitation chain restaurant kind (put cheese and sour cream on anything ...
Pros: Great Tex Mex, yummy margaritas, good service Cons: Limited seating, so expect to wait
Just thinking about writing a review for Borders is making me want to go there!
Situated right in the heart of the Harvard area, Borders is a meca for college students, tourists and locals alike. It's one of the best places in the area to get...

Pros: good food, good service, good drinks Cons: Loud and noisy at times, long wait on weekends
The Border Cafe, in HAravard Square just a block away from the t-stop i s the perfect place for Mexican food and drinks. The atmosphere is loud, particularly on weekends when there is a line to get seated. However, the wait is wellworth it. The...
Pros: margaritas to die for, good prices, menu variety Cons: not always the cleanest place, bar can get loud.
Border Cafe in Saugus, MA is one of my favorite restaurants. It is the sister restaurant to the locations in Cambridge and Burlington, MA. located on Rte. 1, the Border Cafe in Saugus offers mexican and cajun-style cuisine, and a fantastic array of ...
Pros: Great food, great selection, great atmosphere. Cons: If you don't like noise...don't go here.
So...you want a good Mexican Restaurant huh? Well, have you checked out the Border Cafe? It's a neat and unique and always loud. Don't go here if you want to have a quiet conversation for two. This place is loud, chock full of people and a blast to...
This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I am a big fan of the combination chicken/beef fajitas. The marinade for the meat is amazing, and the tortillas are the freshest I've ever tasted, but I get ahead of myself.
Pros: high quality food, fun atmosphere Cons: you'll probably encounter a wait
as i'm sure is obvious from all the other great reviews posted here, border cafe is a great restaurant for all the mexican food fans out there. i have to say, i was never really a fan of mexican at all until i was persuaded to try border, and from then...
Pros: Yummy food, low prices, fun atmosphere Cons: Long waits on weekend nights...(its worth it!)
If you like Mexican food, and a lively atmosphere, then you should try this place. It has to be the best Mexican food in Boston! There is always a line on Saturday nights, but if you aren't planning on drinking, you have a better chance at getting in...
Pros: Good-natured staff, handles large crowds well, cheap! Cons: This isn't the BEST Mexican of your life, but it does just fine:)
I have been to the Border Cafe in Cambridge, Massachusetts several times when I am in the Boston area, but I was very impressed recently. I had a large group (there were 7 of us) and we walked into the crowded restaurant expecting to have to wait quite...
Fajitas are a favorite of mine, and I have to say, no one has better Fajitas than the Border Cafe. I have been to both locations in Harvard Square and on Rt. 1 and both are equally as good. Also, they have good Margaritas to sip on while you are...
Love it! We go at least once a month by opinionsmy ,Jan 16 '05
Pros: Fresh chips and salsa; good and inexpensive food. Cons: Gotta wait for a table.
Freshly made warm tortilla chips and salsa are brought to your table as soon as you sit down. I'd go for the chips alone.
We go for the great and inexpensive food. We don't even get the margaritas though I hear they are good. The enchiladas, fajitas, and shrimp and crawfish quesadilla are excellent. Lots of cheese on some of these, which is great if you love cheese.
The wait is ALWAYS less than they say, usually ten minutes and I've never waited more than 20 (though I would). You can get a table faster if you opt for the no alcohol section downstairs, but once you sit down you realize how much it sucks that you can't get a drink.
