Pros: Safe plastic, nice shape, venting system, doesn't leak, nice design, easy to clean Cons: Expensive, sometimes hard to find
When my daughter was first born, we used Dr. Brown's baby bottles. They seemed to work fine, but as I learned more about plastics leaching into foods, I wanted to switch to safe alternatives. I decided to get both Born Free plastic bottles and then ...
Pros: BPA free PLASTIC, vented system, parts interchange with other products Cons: EXPENSIVE!!!!!!, limited availability
When my twins were born, we began using Dr. Brown's bottles for their superior control of gas and colic symptoms. However, over the months, I have become more aware of the possible dangers of the chemical compound Bisphenol-A (BPA). After GOOGLE ...
Pros: BPA, Pthlate, Toxin, Chemical free, anti colic system, easy to wash Cons: wide to hold, nipples collapse, not that user friendly
Why Born Free? Born Free bottles are nice bottles but are by far not perfect. We wanted to get the best possible bottles for our twins so we looked around for a while. During my pregnancy I researched the better BPA, Pthlate, chemical, toxin ...
Pros: Great Vent system, No toxins, sturdy bottle Cons: Very expensive
I don't have to worry about toxins which is great but the bottle is to wide for my baby to hold. Also they are very expensive bottles and nipples. It is over $7.00 for two nipples after tax. Also each bottle runs about ten dollars. The venting system is ...
Pros: Odourless. PBA toxin free. Cons: Weird shape for small hands, leaky at times. Very costly.
Like most parents of bottle or sippy fed babies, the PBA news dropped on us like a bag of hammers. I found the two pack after much searching, washed all the bits and the bottles. We used to use Dr. Browns and Avent, both just occasionally as my ...
Pros: bpa free, great quality bottles Cons: very expensive compared to other brands of baby bottles
Upon hearing of how dangerous most baby bottles are, I looked into buying these bottles for the well-being of my baby.I didn't want my son to ingest the dangerous BPA chemical with his milk. I bought 6 plastic bottles and 6 glass bottles from Born Free. ...

Nipples collapse and get clogged by mommyjc ,Apr 16 '09
Pros: air vent system, BPA free (but so are many brands now) Cons: clogged nipples, collapsing nipples
We've been using these bottles for several months now and ever since we switched to level 2 for our 16 week old son, the nipples get clogged (even when we can't see anything clogging them!) and nothing comes out. We have to shake, squeeze, and sometimes even switch to a different nipple all in the middle of feeding a hungry baby who becomes frustrated and screams because (a) nothing is coming out of his bottle and (b) now mom or dad took the bottle away from him (to fix problem a). This is very frustrating and we're trying to decide which bottles to switch to--after spending a lot of money on all the bottles and nipples from Born Free.
