Pros: Cleaning power, sturdy adjustible racks, quiet, power saving Cons: slightly smaller upper rack and flatware basket than some models
This is the second time in three years I’ve had to slip into Lowes appliance department to find a dishwasher. Read my revised epinion on my KitchenAid dishwasher that after three repairs, Lowes seriously no-hassle warranty department sent me a ...
Pros: VERY quiet, easy to use, tall-tub, rinse-aid adjustment and level indicator, quick-wash option, autosense. Cons: Not stainless, top rack only half for cups/glasses.
We moved into a new house this last March and with the house came an old GE Triton dishwasher. Looking at it we thought this would prove to be a sturdy older model, but we were sorely disappointed from the first use with its performance. About ...
Pros: Cleans well, quickly, reliable, and reasonably quiet even with less than optimal install. Cons: A few storage design flaws.
Bought this a month ago and have run several dozen loads. No buyers remorse, but between the buy and the install I read a few complaints that beared out after I used the machine. First, the machine, dropped into a space where another was built in, ...
Pros: Clean dishes, extremely quiet, built solid, flexible dish racks, too many to list. Cons: None that I have found so far
From reading all the reviews my two concerns was space and the dishes being wet after each wash. Well, i measured my old dishwasher and it was only one inch difference than my previous dishwasher, plus the Bosch has 10 times ...
Pros: Silent, effiecient. great at cleaning dishes and glasses, well designed, easy to connect. Cons: None I can see.
The Bosch Evolution 500 sets the bar for dishwashers. Having been a victim of a kitchen-aid dishwasher I can't praise the Bosch enough. It is almost silent, very well designed and thought out. It washes perfectly, leaves no water marks on glasses, is very flexible in terms of the adjustments and layout of the racks and silverware caddy. There is no exposed heating element, so plastics don't melt even on the bottom rack. The top rack is about an inch shorter than most, but you won't even notice it
Pros: So quiet works great Cons: Doesn't load itself...
This is so stylish, but it is so quiet i have to it touch it see if it is on. The water heats itself and the dishes come out way clean even with our hard well water. The racks are great esy to load. I bought this at Lowes And the first one the door was bent and the hinge was broken. I would never reccomend buying anything from lowes, I have had problems with every singel purchase and there customer service os awful. if you can buy this else where DO IT! The dishwsher is great. No complaints at all. The Dishwasher soap i use has alot to do with it. I use electrosal 3 in one. I tried using Kirklands and it didn't work as well but it was from the water not the machine. Please buyer beware of where you purchase but don't be scared of Bosch simply because it is not the same as your mom has, I LOVE MINE>
Good machine, but lacks a couple things by dbsanders ,Mar 17 '08
Pros: Quiet, high-tech, nice looking, cleans well. Cons: Tupperware flies around and fills with water, child lock not very useful
Just got this unit a week ago. Seems to clean very well and it's MUCH quieter than our 10-year old Kitchenaid. The old machine did have something we miss - little clips in the top rack to hold plastic lids/tupperware. The Bosch sprays these things around and turns them upside down, filling them with water every time.
Also, the child lock is only "half-useful". It can only be activated after you've started a cycle, not before. So you can't prevent children from turning it on, just playing with it after it's already running.
Also I find the "on/off" button a bit strange for a dishwasher. Don't think I've seen that before.
The Bosch Evolution 500 SHE45M06UC great but smells by junebug77 ,Sep 27 '08
Pros: Great features. Very quiet. Cons: Plastic smell that won't go away.
This dishwasher has all the features we were looking for in a dishwasher, quiet, flexible silverware placement, rated as very dependable, efficient, and nice looking. Unfortunately, as soon as we ran it that first time we noticed a stong plastic-type smell. Thinking this was just a new dishwasher smell, we ran it several times with detergent but the smell did not diminish at all. We then googled this issue on the web and found other people having the same problem. Some have said the smell is even on their dishes. We are going to return the dishwasher and try another brand.
