I researched dishwashers after our less than 5 year old GE Profile machine began to fail.  Knowing we did not want another GE, we went to the local home improvement store and checked out all the different brands.  I had never heard of a Bosch dishwasher, but when I checked out reviews on line, including this site, I could not find a negative review.  So, we took the plunge and purchased this particular model.  Without a doubt, best appliance decision we've ever made.  It is incredibly quiet, and more importantly, it cleans the dishes and glasses amazingly.  The only improvement that could be made would be to possibly redesign the upper rack configuration.  Although it is very deep, which is nice, it's difficult to figure out how to load efficiently.  But, the positives of this machine far outweigh that issue.  The cycle options this model has are adequate for our use, and I especially like the count-down timer that let's you know how long the cycle will take, and how much time is left.  You won't be sorry if you purchase a Bosch!

I have had my Bosch SHE45M dishwaher 6 weeks. It's only positive is that is is extremely quiet. It does not wash dishes as good as my 8 year old Maytag that it replaced. Often times my dishes will have food scraps on them after a full cycle ( and I thoroughly rinse all my dishes before loading them in the machine) and the food trap is clean. There is a dank metal-like smelling odor that the machine gives off after a cycle ( I have tried other detergents too ) and the odor stays in the machine between wahing cycles too. I run the machine 3-4 times per week. This Bosh has a much smaller load capacity than most dishwashers and you can not put a large dish/platter on the right side of the machine because it will "block" water flow. Another handicap. I paid close to $800.00 for this unit and its installation and it is not worth this kind of money. Bosch makes great tools, just not good appliances.

Spent $700 for a dishwashwer that does not DRY my dishes.

Always wet dishes need to be dried off by hand.

Did everything they recommended in the manual and on the phone to help.

Consumer reports must have been paid off. This CANNOT be the best there is as it DOES NOT DRY the dishes.

Odor as well.

Costumer service SUCKS! Bosch will not help us at all.
