New diswasher broke at the first attempt to operate, takes 15 days to fix. by taruand ,Jul 29 '08
Pros: Even with dispenser cup operating without cover dished come out clean and dry. Cons: Unreliable dispenser cup.
We were looking at Bosch dishwasher because it was presented as the most reliable and efficient and good looking product.
At the first attempt to use the dishwasher the detergent cup cover failed (would not close). Waited a week for mechanic's visit, he determined that cup should be replaced and commented that cup on previous models were more reliable. Now I have to wait another week until they have the part, it "takes so long because it's a new model and parts are not stocked yet".
Pros: Elegant looking Stainless Quiet Price/Quality/brand combination unbeatable in the market currently Adequate features
Cons: A little compex to use extra settings options Dishes/Interior not fully dry.
I was looking for a reasonably priced dishwasher for less than 1000 bucks including extended warranty.
This dishwasher stood out. It looked very appealing , elegant and had a stainless exterior and interior.
The Bosch reliability and quality, along with the features made it an easy choice.
The dishwasher works excellent. The dishes come out sparkling clean.
We did notice that the dishwasher is not completely dry after the wash cycle. There are droplets of water on the inside of the dishwasher. It uses condensation drying so I believe that is normal.
We did have a scare on week 1 of the purchase & use. The rinse agent dispenser seemed to leak. We had it checked out and the service technician did not see any issues.
I believe this is a newer model that Bosch has released just a few months ago.
Based on my research, the Price/Quality/brand that this dishwasher offers is unbeatable in the market currently.
I hope to use this dishwasher for a long time ;) without any pain.
Bosch SHE4AM15SS - Nice Dishwasher by mwong ,Mar 24 '09
Pros: Very quiet. Great at cleaning dishes. Nice looking. Good buy for the price point. Half load capable. Cons: Not as "beefy" as other dishwashers. Tub is not 100% stainless steel.
Dishwashers do not seem to last, so it is not worth buying top of the line. Found this one at a Sears Outlet, practically brand new for just under $400. It was an easy self install. So far it has been great. Everything that a dishwasher should be and quiet to boot. Cleans and dries like a champ. Yes there is moisture on the walls, but with the extra dry heat option the contents are very dry. At the beginning there was a tar pit smell, probably due to the bitumen composed insulation, but that has disappeared after a few cycle. Overall it seem light in comparison to other dishwashers and the racks also seem to be thinner so the long term reliability may be in question. The tight tines allows for lots of dishes, but makes it a bit of a problem for larger items. It is not too much of a problem for me as I like to wash my pots, pans and other cookware by hand.
