I had to replace my old dishwasher which was easy to use. I live alone and do not wash dishes till it is full. This one will not let me do that.  It is hard to get the settings right and I pretty techie..I had to have the repairman come and set it and it still does not do what I want it to do...merely what it wants.  I have to use Jet dry because of the way it works.  It stinks so I have to wash dishes more often because I cannot seem to find the right setting to get the dryer to work.  I cannot arrange the dishes the way I want because of the placement of the racks, etc.  My dishes are pretty clean when I put them in. I never have food on them.  I just hate it really and wish I had my old one back.  The child safety stuff is a pain.

This is the greatest dishwasher I have ever owned no issues at all. I don't even have to rinse my dishes before I use the dishwasher. It takes care of baked on items like lasagna with ease. If your having trouble just make sure you use the electrosol tabs and jet dry.

Our Bosch SHE4AM16UC was a piece of junk! The dishes never came out clean unless we washed them by hand first. The bottom rack configuration was poorly designed. A few months after purchase the soap dispenser broke. A few months after that, it wouldn't drain and threw particles of food back on to the dishes. We replaced it after less than a year.

Pros: CLEAN dishes without prescrubbing, very quiet, attractive exterior.
Cons: Wash time is a couple of hours (but worth it).

We bought this to replace our leaky builder-grade dishwasher of another brand.  Within 2 weeks our silverware and glasses were sparkling again.  I had no idea they had gotten so dull!!  Everything is cleaner with less effort on my part before loading.  I stopped using the rinse aid because I could taste the residue, and except for the plastic items our dishes are just as spotless.  I had to get used to the smaller tub, but now I can get at least as many dishes in as before.  I love the adjustable top rack when I need to lower it for a larger item.  About once a month I have to scrub off the grease trap from the bottom of the dishwasher.  It's not too much trouble and is easy to get in and out.  And this dishwasher is very, very quiet.  Top it all off with a sleek exterior, and I am so happy we chose this one!!!
