Pros: Wonderful European coffees available for machine, cappuccinos very easy to make Cons: Brands of pods limited in stores, expensive compaired to traditional coffee maker
My first encounter with a pod style machine was at a friend's home. She had the competitor to this machine and the initial reason I was very interested in purchasing one was I loved the idea of having hot coffee anytime without having to make a ...

Pros: - wide variety of beverages - compact, attractive design - water filter included Cons: - not quite as good beverages as a coffee house
I've been using a Kuerig machine at work, and have always been dissattisfied with the taste of both the tea and hot cocoa (I don't drink coffee). What appealled to me about the Tassimo is that it does tea, including chai lattes, cocoa and for my ...

Don't bother unless you like 1/2 cup servings
by skyewrytr ,Dec 03 '08
Pros: Starbucks was the best of all. The Twinnings Earl Grey tea was also very good Cons: Weak, poorly flavored coffee and hot chocolate pods . Latte tasted like condensed milk.
After reading current reviews of the newer Bosch series Tassimo I bought one at Bed,Bath & Beyond. I also ordered $75.00 worth of tassimo coffee pods etc. from Tassimo directly. This machine only produces small 8oz servings (less than 1/2 my usual cup size). Only the Starbucks pods were strong enough ; all the other seven choices I bought were weakly flavored and watery. The High toned Suchard hot chocolate was ARTIFICIALLY flavored, watery and awful. The coffee pods are Very expensive at $10.00 for 12 cups yield. To get a full 12oz cup of coffee you have to manually hold down the "ON" button after the automatic cycle for seven or more seconds and more hot water is added to your already weak coffee. I returned the Tassimo and went back to my trusty Braun Aromamaster. Tassimo did give me a FULL credit for my $75.00 pod purchase and they told me to not bother to return them..

At last, the perfect coffee!
by venturakeys ,Oct 13 '08
Pros: Brewing a delicious cup of expresso, latte, cappucchino,or Chai tea could not be easier Cons: 1. NOT CHEAP 2. FINDING DISCS (I order from Tassimo) 3. ADDICTIVE
I have a closet of every kind of coffee maker imaginable. Either they didn't make the coffee I drank from coffee houses, or they were too much trouble. I can't say enough about this machine. I was very skeptical, but spending a minimum of $150.00 a month for coffee, was not something I enjoyed. Seeing as I spent more at Starbucks than the cost of this machine in one month, I felt I had nothing to lose! ( I GOT MINE AT BED,BATH & BEYOND, WITH COUPON OF 20% OFF!, IT COST ME ABOUT $111.00) I could not be more thrilled, and although I do not think of myself as an expert, I am pretty sure that most people would be as ecstatic as I am. The only negative is sometimes it is a little difficult finding certain discs, so for convenience, I order mine on line. I have to limit myself or I would be drinking several cups a day, and while this is cheaper than Starbucks, it is not as cheap as coffee from a pot of brewed coffee. FOR CONVENIENCE AND TASTE THIS IS THE PERFECT MACHINE!

Starbucks at home @ 50cents a cup
by zhmot ,May 16 '09
Pros: Ease of use, Wide variety pod selection Cons: Pods have limited store availibility
We had this machine for a few month @ home and I was going to buy a similar but less pricey machine for my office and saw the reviews for the Tassimo on this website and decided to write my own. Machine works great. I am not a coffe purist, and prehaps it's end product is not as great as could be achived by a pro barrista, but for my taste it's good enough. We had tried different brands and Starbucks coffee is the the best it's almost twice the price of Maxwell House, but tastes infinitely better. Definetely worth the money, no regrets.

So far--junk with poor product support
by airthy ,Dec 26 '08
Pros: Nice design Compact Water filter Cons: Doesn´t work!
Bought this in November for a Christmas present. Finally got to put it in the kitchen (in Denmark) after lugging this all the way from Florida, along with coffee for a month. Followed all the instructions, but the bloody thing doesn´t work. Called the service people, who walked me through the same process as the instruction book and when I told them "Now the two lower lights are blinking..." replied, defective...bring it to the store where you bought it. I am not coming back to the area until the end of February, I replied, isn´t there a service centre I can send it to? Bring it back to the store where you bought it. Sorry, there is no other solution....like a robot...Great customer service, heh? Like the store is going to be impressed the last week of February, when I show up with this November purchase....right! So I have written them a letter and we´ll see if there is another solution afterall. Thus far....a dud! Don´t know what I was thinking!

Nice Machine but......
by arrazzmatazz ,Feb 04 '09
Pros: Very convenient. Much cheaper than going to Starbucks Cons: Poor web service.
The machine works OK, although the hot chocolate is pretty poor. It conveniently makes coffee, espresso, hot chocolate and tea. The problem is ordering the coffee on the Tassimo website. It is very buggy and I can't tell if my order has gone through. This has been going on for six months. I just went to review my one time orders because I was having some problems. There were no dates associated with the orders. They seem to be more concerned with marketing than providing a useful site.
