Pros: Clean clothes, very low water use, even for a front loader.

I bought it a year ago. Works great. Uses very little water and the clothes are clean. The only problem was the odd electrical plug. Had to put in a new outlet. I plan to keep the machine for many years and would recommend Bosch products. Would recommend getting the pedestal because it is low to the ground.

I'm very disappointed with this washer. After 1 year it began to develop a mold and mildew problem around the door gasket. This requires constant cleaning. You have to wipe out any water sitting inside the gasket after every load of laundry . The manufacturer suggests running vinegar or bleach through it on a regular basis and leaving the door open. Who has time to wash their washing machine? The mold has left black stains on the gray rubber gasket which are unsightly. I think this is an issue that should be mentioned in the owners manual, but is not. I've also spoken with several service providers and they are reluctant to give me any idea of the cost to replace the gasket, only saying that it's very costly. I will not purchase any more Bosch appliances.

Bought my bosch washer and dryer 2 years ago. I never thought that doing laundry as a single man would be such fun. The whites come out amazing. The ability t use the "end at time" function allows me to put clothes into the washer,load up the dispenser before work set the controls to what time I want the machine to end ad leave. The washer is set with a 24 hr clock. The machine will know what time I want the cycles to end just as I'm walking in the front door after work. It will think back and know exactly when to start based off the cycle and options I have chosen. Amazing cleaning results.

Cons: Smell, Odor, Mold, maintenance required constantly.

I purchased two sets of the front load machines, for my new home, after a good experience with other Bosch appliances.
After only a few months, with only two of us in the house, they have a terrible odor every time they are opened. Bosch says to wipe the seal EVERY time it's used. I would not purchase again. The set which is located in the lower level gets very little use, but still has the same odor issues.
