Pros: Smart to look, easy setup.
Cons: EXPENSIVE for what its worth, no low and high tones, heavy bass unit

Pros: powerful but highly clear sound. easy set up. tiny and inconspicuous.
Cons: may be pricey for the average wallet.

Summary: for the small size of this 2.1 system, I must say that there is nothing out there that even comes close to the punch and clarity that this systems puts out. The accoutimass box provides quality hard hitting lows, while the two gemstone speakers pumps ... read more

Cons: Special limited cables, connections touchy. More ports. Display generic. DVD player inferior, perhaps other parts.

Summary: I compared this to my old Pioneer system with prologic etc. It sounded just as good - infact better! Sound transitions to left and right, clarity, ... BOSE did the job. Whatever they did with sound, its amazing. Stop the press...thats as far as it ... read more

Summary: We have this system and wish we didn't! For as much as it costs - it should last FOREVER - but in less than 6 months, we have exchanged one (the first one- within first week after purchase) and now need to return unit #2. The first one ate a CD and ... read more

    Jan 23, 2006 by
    Rated Show
    Pros: Home Theatre sound, presence
Cons: high-end, lack of expandibility, lack of audio out, lack of HDMI out.

Summary: Wow, no reviews in over a year. Just a note that Bose came out with a new model, so check carefully which one you are buying. We heard the Bose 321 (at Sam's Club, of all places), and was underwhelmed. It had good impact for movies, but sonicly it ... read more

Cons: The box is ugly. some glitches.

    Pros: Sound quality
    Cons: everything else

Pros: All in one easy unit. Excellent progressive scan DVD. Small good looking speakers.
Cons: The sound just isn't there. Gets plenty loud but missing the highs AND the lows.

Summary: I hate to admit I spent $1299 on this system. I should have been suspect when I read the disclaimer they place in each box. It explains that WE don't understand what true sound imagery is, that THEY have defined it for us and if we don't agree, we just ... read more

Summary: I've owned a Bose 321 for about 18 months. Last month the unit quit. Bose takes a position that basically says, "Buy a new one." As has been noted elsewhere, there were numerous glitches until the latest update. But complete component failure after 18 ... read more

Cons: numerous glitches until I received the most recent software update

Summary: If I were to rate my 3-2-1 system right now (after my second software update), I would give it 5 stars. However, I have taken 2 stars away for the many headaches suffered these past months trying to get the system up to its present level of performance. ... read more

  • BOSE home theater: nice when it works, frustrating when it won't

    Jul 11, 2004 by

    Pros: convenient
    Cons: expensive. unreliable.

Summary: It's not audiophile quality--not even same league--but it's a big step up from the speakers built into your TV; it's a small number of boxes; it's easy for whole family to use. A little expensive, but worth it... except when it flakes out. I ... read more
