great headphones

by shayguy54123 , Jan 16 '04
Pros: sound quality. comfort around your ears
Cons: price, durability
hey, i'm a 15 year old guy from connecticut. At first when i bought these headphones i was amazed at the sound quality and clarity. The bass is awesome but you have to have an airtight or semi-airtight fit around you ears to get this full bass effect. ...

Some excellent headphones

by kimvoe , Dec 28 '02
Pros: Lightweight, comfortable, great sound
Cons: A little spendy
I got a pair of these headphones for Christmas and I must say I've been really happy with them. I wanted some lightweight headphones that I could take to work and use to block out all the noise around me. These things insulate me from the outside...

GREAT Headphones

by chunkytuna , Nov 06 '02
Pros: Very Comfortable, Great Sound, GREAT BASS!!!!
Cons: On the borderline of bulky
I carry my CD and MP3 player everywhere, the have come to the conclusion that the only improvment needed in the field of portable audio is sound quality, especially bass. These headphones are VERY Lightweight and comfortable, and has phenominal bass for...

Excellent Sound. Poor construction.

by sdvikesfan , Oct 13 '03
Pros: Excellent Sound. Lightweight. Fits perfectly. Nice looking.
Cons: Headband breaks if you look at it funny.
The sound with the Bose triport is wonderful! Clear highs, low lows. I had them less than 1 week and the headband came apart. No problem, they're adjustable. However, two little clips fell out and now the headband won't stay together. Now, I'm a phar ...

You Thought 8-Tracks were Noisy
by since66 ,Feb 03 '07
Pros: Elegant Design.
Cons: A Mood Killer. Servo mechanism that moves CDs around is extremely noisy and distracting.
This CD changer was intended to join forces with my existing Wave Radio/CD (which sounds great). The combined system was supposed to replace an aging receiver and 5 disk 'carousel'.

I had hoped for seamless play, (and naively), shuffling between CDs. Not with this gizmo. The noise produced when this thing changes CDs is unrivaled by any other electronic device since the first top-load VHS players arrived in the early '80s. When a CD is finished there are a few moments of restful silence, followed by an extended sequence of servo ker-chunks, whirrs and buzzes as the next CD is brought up and put into place.

You almost wince at the end of a CD knowing that in a few seconds you will be forced to endure this mood killing racket. And it is LOUD. If this changer was in the trunk of your car it would not matter; but right there in the middle of the party?

Why couldn't they have placed a laser reader in each bay? They are dirt cheap.

Instead of this gadget, just get an iPod and their attachment device and keep things smooth and seamless.

Great sound, cheap construction
by cwdrz ,Jan 09 '07
Pros: Great sound, great reputation.
Cons: Cheap components/ plastic where there should be nylon or metal.
Bought these as a gift for my son who loves listening to music on his computer. He's delivered them to me twice in the last month, with the plastic head band in one hand, the earpiece in the other. Cheap plastic headband attachments which can't hold up under stress (I think my plastic spoon in my lunch box is better quality!). I've sent an email to Bose, as I'm not the type that keeps receipts and warranty cards on things I believe to be high quality. My mistake. Would probably be great for a small child, with a small head, who acted like a 60 year old. Anyone with a large head, forget it.

EXPENSIVE for a CHEAPLY MADE product
by jw1965 ,Mar 09 '08
Pros: Great sound and VERY comfortable
Cons: Will NOT last long. VERY CHEAPLY made. Earpiece WILL snap.
I really liked the comfort and sound, but apparently, for $139.95, Bose cannot afford to put 3 cents worth of metal where the earpiece connects to the headband. The thin plastic they use instead WILL SNAP eventually, just give it time. STAY AWAY from this product. HIGHWAY ROBBERY.

Pros: amaaaaaaaaazing sound quality, blocks out some outside noise
Cons: price, but it is a good value once you hear!!!!!
These headphones are the best freakin headphones I have EVER tried. I used to go through a pair every few months cuz they would break and the poor sound quality, but MAN ARE THESE AWESOME!

Everything is so crystal clear and the sounds are enhanced and balanced perfectly....you may hear things you have never heard before in your music!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Best you can get
by sebringowner ,Feb 16 '07
Pros: Everything, Sound is awesome, quality is good too
Cons: They are expensive, but for what you are getting they are not.
I really think that these headphones are awesome. I am fortunate enough to own a Bose portable CD Player (Fortunate because they didn't make that many). The two of them together gives you an unbelievable sound experience. Put them on, close your eyes, you'd swear you were listening to Large tower speakers an a sub-woofer.

I love my headphones
by clare21142 ,Feb 19 '07
Pros: sound quality
Cons: very loud
Last year I bought a pair of Bose headphones (Triport). Out of all of the headphones i have owned, these are my favorite. The sound quality is outstanding. They are also very comfortable to wear and won't fall off/out of your ear like other types of headphones. They have a cushion around the ear piece. I bought these headphones because they are big and bulky, and definitely catch attention. I rarely see people wearing headphones like these. It seems like most people use the headphones that come for free with their iPod.

I love these....I just wish they cost a little less
by moepoe ,Nov 07 '04
Pros: Comfortable, pretty to look at, sound quality is simply amazing
Cons: Not affordable, I've got to explain the price to my wife
These are the best headphones I've worn since my old Nakamichi headphones bought in the mid-80's. I bumped into these headphones in the Apple store, and I was blown away by their sound and they comfort level.

I thought the sound was very comparable to the $300 "quiet comfort" headphones by Bose. The highs, lows and midrange were accurately reproduced by these headphones. No matter how much louder I played them, they didn't distort. And while a little pricey, $149 is still close to the bottom of the radar screen for discretionary purchases. And they work great with my Ipod Mini and my laptop computer.

I love these headphones and will use them for years to come. I just wish they didn't cost so much and were a little more portable.

Wow! A great set of headphones.
by pacerintl ,Mar 18 '07
Pros: These are very comfortable and fit snugly around the ears.
Cons: None at all.
Most everyone is a familiar with Bose, a company the produces some of the best high end audio products out there. But who really needs a four hundred dollar radio receiver or one hundred seventy-five dollar headphones?
A little about me, I am a forty-two year old male that lost over eighty percent of my hearing due in part to our wonderful health care industry. Even with $3200 in hearing aids I was still missing out on a broad range of frequency. Often it was like listening to music and sound reproduction on a hand held AM radio from the early seventies.
Then one day at Target I checked out the Bose display at Target, Wow! I was hearing music and lyrics like I heard them in the eighties. I also have a XM Delphi MyFi and tried these puppies out on it, again Wow!! I paid $139.00 for these but with the sound reproduction and pleasure they are worth far more. I would not think twice about paying $700.

Amazing!
by aviator409 ,Feb 01 '05
Pros: Deep ear vibrating Bass Lightweight Attractive Design Great Sound
Cons: Headband slightly uncomfortable
First of all, These headphones are incredible. Don't let any Bose Basher tell you differently. The sound is pefect - With a perfect balance of High's and Low's. The Bass is deep, rich, and full of life. The high tone instruments pierce my ears as if I am playing the sax myself. If considering buying the QuietComfort2's, try these first. I prefer the sound in the TriPorts, plus the Triports block out a lot of outside noise. On an old noisy 737, the triports did the trick.

BREAKS EASILY feels nice
by cw35t13 ,Sep 14 '07
Pros: nice ear feel. good sound.
Cons: THEY BREAK EASILY!!!!!!!!!!
There are six people in our office that have these headphones. Everyones have broken at least once. The problem is the one year warranty. I encourage anyone with these headphones to break them within the year to get a new pair. Because they will inevitably break no matter how well you take care of them . I do appreciate Bose's courteous customer care. I feel they should extend their warranty to five years on the headphones and make them more durable in the future.
