Pros: Great beer, good food, several locations. Cons: Parking, very crowded on game days.
In Boston to see a Sox game? Love beer? Then boy, do I have a treat for you. It’s called the Boston Beer Works, and it’s a great place to grab a burger and a few brews in Boston. Located directly across from Fenway Park on 61 Brookline Avenue,...
Pros: Across from Fenway, tasty food and beer (sometimes) Cons: Service slow, some beers may not be to your liking
If you are looking for a good place to hang out while you are near Fenway Park, look no further than the Boston Beer Works. I suppose I could have written this review in April, when I visited this place for the first time. Since I didn't have anything...
Pros: near FleetCenter & downtown, great beer & good food, big pool tables Cons: allow smoking, appetizers have small portions
Beerworks just opened in its new location on Canal Street, across the street from the North Station T stop and near the FleetCenter. I've been there twice to play pool, drink beers, and have appetizers. When you walk in, you're overcome with that intense...
Pros: Massively crowded before and after Red Sox games. Cons: Massively crowded before and after Red Sox games!
I first started going to the BBW in December 1992, not long after it opened. At first, I didn't like it because they serve their beer cold. However, over the years, it has grown to be one of my favorite places in the city to have a snack and a few...
Pros: Location, best food + beer selection in Lansdowne area Cons: Big, huge, crowded, noisy bar
Honestly, BBBs probably has the best food within stumbling distance of Lansdowne street. In comparison to the rest of Boston's offerings (both beer- and food-wise), BBBs is lame. Menu selections are mostly pub foods- burgers and stuff and the quality...
Pros: good wings Cons: If I wanted fruit in my beer, I would call up Richard Simmons.
Last summer I went to the Fenway with a couple of friends. For lunch we had a couple of dogs and washed them down with a couple more Buds. Nothing like a hot day, cold beer, and sweaty men in tight, tight, sweaty, tight sweat pants to get a girl going....
Pros: good location, fries were decent Cons: boring food, inflated prices
I had lunch there about a month ago - and was surprised to find a very pricey (for what they were offering) and uninspired menu. The food wasn't anything you could find anywhere else. Also, the service was inattentive, and the restaurant was virtually empty.
While the food wasn't inedible - it was uninspired and not worth the time.
Because it was lunch, I had to forgo the beer, so I can't comment on that.
