About 9 months ago my old coffee maker went out on me and my husband ran up to the local Winn Dixie and purchased us the Braun 10 cup AroMaster Coffeemaker which is exactly what you might think, a drip type coffee pot that makes a 10 cup pot of coffee....

Let me begin by saying you can get this for $20, give or take.
I have run three cafes. I have owned dozens of coffee makers, espresso machines, percolators, and stovetop brewers. This is the best. It makes the best coffee of all your everyday coffee makers. Something about the spray pattern above the cone filter gets the best results.

The single downside: no clock timer. The solution: buy a cheap wall-plug vacation timer.

Final word: BEST COFFEE, BEST PRICE.

I've received a total of three, yes three, KF 400 coffee makers, all of which had defects of some sort. Quite honestly, if it cost Braun $5 to make, they paid too much! It's cheaply made, parts don't fit right, the coffee basket swings out when the carafe is removed to pour, yada, yada, yada.

Consumer Reports lists this model as a 'Best Buy' (I have notified CR of all my problems with this model as well).

True, it only cost around $20. It make may good coffee, as CR and others have reported. Perhaps if I get one that works, I'll be able to confirm that.

This is an excellent example of 'getting what you pay for'.

Until then, for a good cup of coffee, it's Starbucks for me.

i bought this after a favorable review on the internet. i am very unhappy with it. 1.you have to fold down the paoer #4 filter to makeit fit.secondly the swing out filter tray is hard to get back in once removed. the coffee was ok, but not terrific. the machine, while inexpensive, is flimzy compared to other makes in it's price range.

Pros: It made a good cup of coffee, it is compact and is relatively inexpensive.
Cons: It is built rather flimsy.

I purchased this based on Consumer Reports' top rating. Within a few weeks, the auto-drip-stop broke and the mechanism that locks the swing basket in place also broke. I was very disappointed with this product. However, when it did work, it made a good cup of coffee and it was relatively cheap.

Pros: Cheap.
Cons: Bad auto drip stopper, boring outlooks, coffee basket should turn sideways.

I bought one of these coffeemakers. Soon I noticed auto-drip-stopper not working at all so I went to shop and switched to another. Same thing appeared! Now I have to go and get my money back...
