Pros: Ease of use, cleaning, and care. Cons: Outdoor temps can effect cooking times.

Pros: inexpensive, electric safer, means no fire/flames, can use in garage, even temperature Cons: outside canister/lid not insulated, cools down in cold weather, no temp control
Summary: This was given to me as a gift. It sat for 5 years in the box and pulled it out for smoking a turkey breast this year - Thanksgiving 2011. The other reviews are pretty accurrate and this is a very basic smoker. This is matter of ... read more

Pros: Easy to use.
The booklet on cooking times is right on the money. Cons: Adding wood blocks through the door is clumsy, but doable.

Pros: Great smoker Cons: Can't control temperature bu tthat's never been a problem for me.
Summary: Needed a water pan for my Gourmet smoker (simply lost it! No idea how!) Found a replacemnt at a local store for $15. I happened to call Brinkman corporate who oinformed me they have a Dallas outlet store which sells over the Internet.
