Pros: Good Hop Taste; Not too Bitter; Has Won Several Awards Cons: A Little More Body Could Make this Beer a Classic
Brooklyn Brewery was founded in 1987 and brews about a dozen different styles of beer. This beer, Brooklyn Lager, is considered the flagship brand of the company. Brooklyn Brewery first started brewing this award- winning beer in 1988.

Pros: Great beer, great body, nice sweet malt flavor. Cons: Can't buy it in Texas! Waaaahhhh!!!
If you do the tour at the Brooklyn Brewery, they'll probably tell you that Brooklyn Lager is the 4th largest selling draft beer in New York City. Of course Bud and Bud Light are probably numbers 1 and 2, but that makes me wonder, what the heck other ...

Pros: Crisp, refreshing and big on flavour Cons: Can't think of any
At last, my local supermarket is stocking more American beers so now I've got no excuse not to write about them. Here's one I tried earlier.
Brooklyn Brewery was founded in 1987 and brews about a dozen different styles of beer. Their flagship...

Pros: easy to find, easy to get friends to drink Cons: not made in New York City, let alone Brooklyn
While Brooklyn is a fast riser among the nation's breweries, well into the top forty by volume, they have retained a local feel and a connection to the New York; that goodwill surely factors into the ubiquity of Brooklyn tap handles in Manhattan and ...

Pros: Always reminds me of jazz Cons: not the most complex beer in the world
I'm going to begin this in a roundabout way. I go to a lot of jazz performances at the Village Vanguard. They have a two drink minimum but a rather limited beer selection of Budweiser, Beck's or Brooklyn Lager. For years when I tell ...

Pros: A good semi-sweet beer with a nice finish. Cons: It's not outstanding, but pretty good.
Though some appear to disagree, I think Brooklyn Lager is a solid offering by the Brooklyn Brewery. I've drank it many a time at the Bottom Line in NYC while seeing a show. It doesn't disappoint me.
Appealing Taste

Pros: Good beer, easy to drink Cons: Not really great, sometimes priced that way
This is a pretty good local New York beer. It's not the best beer that the Brooklyn Brewery makes (that would be the Brown Ale, in my experience, although I can't claim to have had all their beers), but it is the most common. And it's good, it's better...

Pros: It's like a party in your mouth and everyone's invited! Cons: It's hard to fit so many people in your mouth.
I'm no professional beer reviewer. In fact, this is my first beer review. It will also be my lat because Brooklyn lager is the only beer I drink.
This is the beer god drinks right before he does something really important.
I'm...

Pros: Full Flavored and fresh dated Cons: not all that available fresh
I was living in the City of Homes and Churches when Brooklyn Lager was introduced. Back then, brews like this were rare-- Anchor Steam and Sam Adams were pretty much all that was available, and this had the advantage of being somewhat more local. (At...

Pros: Inexpensive, taste Cons: Availability
As a recent import to New York City myself, I have been trying to familiarize myself with the local beers. Having lived in Ireland for a time, I still find myself gravitating towards Guinness, and NYC offers the best Guinness I have found outside of...
