Pros: Cohen's "Bruno" is a hoot and his writing is funny and outrageous Cons: Too much of the same theme
Summary: I have to admit it. I'm a fan of Sacha Baron Cohen. I loved "Borat" and the "Da Ali G. Show." So, even though it meant that I had to stay up to the wee hours of the morning, I went to the midnight showing of "Bruno". Once ...

Pros: About 1 minute of dialogue early on in the film when Bruno was talking backstage. Cons: as mentioned above, the movie went for "shock value" over any comedic merits.
Summary: I was dissappointed by this. SBC came to Aust on a promo tour to promote this movie and in interviews he was in character as Bruno of course and was hilarious. Very clever, quick and off the cuff with the media. The movie was not like this. For about the ...

Pros: Slapstick, over-the-top, typical Cohen comedy Cons: Definitely Rated R, often controversial, too much for some
Summary: In his latest effort, Bruno, Sasha Baron Cohen proves that he’s indeed the only person alive who can make a living by turning obscure ideas into gold. Following 2006’s cultural hit — Borat — Cohen was well ...

Pros: Very good at times, Cohen is a comic genius Cons: Tries for shock laughs more than anything, message gets muddled, awkward
Summary: There is a sequence fairly early on in Bruno where a montage of sexcapades displays the sum total of the Austrian fashion icon's relationship with a significantly smaller Asian man/boy. Dark boxes cover up the main areas of activity, but ...

Pros: Great Positive Message about acceptance, Some hilarious scenes Cons: A bit dry, Slow paced, Previews ruined it
Summary: Sasha Cohen makes me laugh so hard, that I've worried about breaking a rib. His Da Ali G Show is one of the funniest productions, which is what inspired Borat and Bruno. He is a person who's not afraid to be controversial, and his ...

Pros: Incredibly funny Cons: Recycling of Borat, one note joke
Summary: He’s a gay Austrian fashionista, host of the TV show “Funkyzeit mit Brüno.” He’s also the fictitious third character of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Da Ali G Show. To the more knowing he has become a cultural icon. To the less ...

Pros: Same premise as Bruno, plenty of laughs, tighter comedy scenes Cons: I'm expecting the shocks, not as funny as Borat, far too much penis
Summary: It's not too often that a movie can polarize audiences like Bruno has, which is essentially a retread of Sacha Baron Cohen's comedy schtick but with a different character with the same concept. Whereas Borat had Cohen playing a Middle Eastern TV ...

Pros: Better than Ali G in Da House. You'll probably laugh a lot. Cons: Unfortunately it's not nearly as good as Borat.
Summary: I was hoping British Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen was interested in more than merely repeating himself with Bruno the latest feature length movie to come out of Cohen's Da Ali G Show (that splashed big on HBO a few years ago). After ...

Pros: Funny, shocking, tells us a lot about ourselves Cons: Meant to shock more than make us laugh
Summary: Remember how, after Sacha Baron Cohen made Borat, people everywhere said there's no way he would ever get away with making a sequel or a similar movie like that again? Well, here we have Bruno confirming that Sacha Baron Cohen has managed to get away ...

Pros: Several very funny scenes Cons: Bruno is more or less a one trick pony
Summary: I've got to admit that Bruno was perhaps the movie I was most looking forward to this summer. Having immensely enjoyed TV's Da Ali G Show and laughing my _ass off at 2006's Borat, I was expecting yet another completely ...

Pros: none Cons: crude, offensive, graphic, lacking in a decent joke
Summary: According to Rotten Tomatoes, 70% of the critics who saw this film liked it enough to give it a thumbs-up. That includes Roger Ebert, who didn't get Memento, hated Gladiator (before it won Best Picture) and thought Julia Roberts' performance in ...

Pros: Some humor? Cons: It's like a 2 hour long shock site viewing.
Summary: Ok, looking back on Cohen’s previous films – I thought I was going to get some actual humor. I actually found the HBO series version of Bruno funny. I’m writing from the viewpoint of a disappointed fan. At about 15 minutes ...

Pros: Outrageously funny Cons: Highly Offensive, Extreme Vulgarity
Summary: Sacha Baron Cohen has put audiences through the most uncomfortable movies starting with of course Ali G Indahouse, which came out in 2002 and then with Borat in 2006. Cohen stars as his gay Austrian ...
