Buttweiper
by beerlover82 ,Dec 05 '03
Pros: affordable, available anywhere Cons: very little taste,no body, bad ingriedents, not really a beer
How dare they call this the "king of beers"!!!! *SIGH* Where do we start? This yellow carbonated water doesn't deserve the title of beer, much less "king of beers". Pours a pathetic pale yellow urine "color" so pale, it's barely even yellow. Aroma is of the usual rice and corn used by the big corporations, taste is very minimal;of an ashtray and very nasty ( I almost barfed and gagged several times),the body is very very thin and watery as all hell and the carbonation is too much. This seems to get worse every time I have one. This is pretty vile and nasty stuff.I would take Miller or Coors over this any day, but that's not saying much. It's definitley not the "king of beers" let alone an actual beer. When I can't afford a good microbrew and have to get a cheap lager, I at least get Yuengling. I recommend doing the same instead of this watered-down sorry excuse for a beer. What a joke. Loved by right-wing rednecks nationwide, it's safe to say this is lousy, lousy crap. Even poor college students won't touch it.Enough said.

Sorry, I don't drink marketing.
by weisinator ,Nov 25 '03
Pros: Consistent product Cons: Consistent product
To paraphrase a monologue from "Pulp Fiction", "Don't tell me how good my beer is. I know how good my beer is because I'm the one who buys it. When Bonnie comes home with beer from the store, she buys Budweiser, okay? When I drink my beer, I want to taste it."
I am thoroughly amused that you're sold a lifestyle with Budweiser's advertisements. Sure, other breweries advertise a lifestyle instead of the beer, but that doesn't make their beer any good, either.
I could bore you with chemical compounds found in large quantities in all things Anheuser-Busch through poor (yet cost cutting) brewing conditions, but we can let Google do that for you: search for "Dimethyl Sulfide" and "Acetaldehyde".
There really is nothing good to say about Budweiser itself, except that it's a consistent product. It will taste the same no matter where in the US you are, kinda like McDonald's hamburgers. The irony is that few people think McDonald's serves world's best food. Why not? After all, they sell more food than anyone else, they have to be the best!

Nasty Hangover Juice
by gottaride ,Jun 30 '07
Pros: Tastes fine for cheap american pilsner Cons: Deadly hangovers if you're ignorant enough to get drunk on this swill.
Tastes fine as a pilsner to wash down a burger. Get drunk on this stuff though, you WILL be sorry tomorrow.

Not really my style...
by mandabear ,Jun 20 '08
Pros: Not terrible. Cons: Upsets my tummy, has a nasty after taste.
Budweiser, while popular, just isn't my thing.
Bud Light is much more of a "drinkable" beer, in my EPINION. Budweiser to me has a horrid aftertaste, and is a little rough on the digestive system.
