Pros: Easy Installation of Hardware, Decent Performance. Cons: Software included is NOT User Friendly. Some Hardware Quirks.
Similar to a two-way Nextel radio in terms of communication, a wireless network uses radio waves like a television or cell phone to send & receive information. (Using Binary Code 0s & 1s) -First a wireless adapter translates data ...
Pros: inexpensive, potential to save lots of $$$$ on other solutions, 4 wired ports Cons: setup can sometimes be tricky for non-technical people
This is an excellent little device to solve a somewhat complicated wireless networking issue. Typically, each device (computer, video game console, printer, etc.) needs its own wireless card/adapter to access a wireless router. Very often, a room with ...
Pros: Fairly easy to setup, good performance, and slick looking and tidy package. Cons: Poor compatibility with Netgear WGR614v5 router. Might work better with other brands.
I wanted something to connect my playstation and home theater PC to my wireless network router upstairs. I thought about getting 2 individual wireless adapters, one for each, but then I found this. It can connect up to 4 ethernet devices wirelessly to ...
Pros: Absolutely the BEST way to get wired ethernet at other end of a wireless connection. Cons: No longer available in the U.S.A., due to a patent dispute.
This is a wireless bridge. It is like hanging a 6-port switch off one of the wired ethernet ports on your wired+wireless router, in that it gives you four more ethernet ports. However, it connects to your router wirelessly, so you can put it anywhere, ...
Pros: Very good communication skills with Netgear router Cons: None visible
I use this PCI card wireless adapter with a Netgear WGT624 router. The two communicate very well, most of the time, seperated by several plaster walls, on two different floors.I upgraded the external antenna (on the card) which helps signal strength. The only problems have been with the router losing it's settings. No problems at all with the PCI card.

Pros: Setup is a snap Cons: After setup you may wear out the reboot button
This adapter matched with the NetGear 624 router might be a great buy...if it worked as advertised. To make a long story short go to NetGear support forum and you will notice a multitude of problems attributed to either Win XP SP2 or AMD machines and Atheros chipsets not working with the NetGear utilities. I have worked long and hard to get this setup to quit locking up my machine, including NetGear phone support. Now I'm going to get dirty and drag some Cat 5 through the attic.
This product doesn't work by egonfrech ,Oct 12 '05
Pros: Nice box, looks good Cons: Doesn't work, tech support awful
I bought a Netgear WG311T wireless card to replace one from another manufacturer that had failed. First, I couldn't get a connection to the router. Two conversations with tech support in India produced the information that I had to download a new driver for Windows XP-SP2 from the internet. I installed the new driver, which allowed me to connect to the router, but not reliably to the internet. A third attempt with tech support produced the suggestion that I change my web browser (I'm using IE!) Instead, I bought a Linksys card, which worked straight out of the box. Don't buy this product! If you're not convinced, go to the Netgear user forum and read the horror stories there.
Works Well - But hangs after sometime.... by gnk979 ,Jan 12 '06
Pros: Works well when the network is being used Cons: Hangs on infrequent use. Awful Tech Support.
WLI-TX4-G54HP works well and I have it connected to my Internet Stereo System MC-I200. However if I turn off my Stereo and the next day I turn it on the WLI-TX4-G54HP goes to sleep and appears to have hung. I have to manually turn off the power and then turn it on and then it starts working.
Also I tried to call Buffallo Techologies Tech Support which is supposed to be 7x24 and was on the phone for more than 60 min just listening to music... The support was simply unacceptable.
