A few months ago we took our last family trip to the beach. We all absolutely adore the beach, but hate the nasty, painful burns that can occur. I am a natural redhead, and I am very prone to sunburns. I discovered Bullfrog Sunblock many years a ...
Pros: Bar-none the *best* sunscreen you can buy! And easy to apply. Cons: Not quite as good as bullfrog gell (but easier to apply).
I'm very fair-skinned, and sunburn extremely easily ... I have *never* gotten a sunburn while wearing Bullfrog sunscreen (now *that* says a lot!) Reading the other reviews about the various different bullfrog sunscreen products is kinda like ...
For people who don't mess around with the sun! by consumernerd ,May 29 '06
Pros: Fast and easy to apply. Covers evenly and lasts a long time. Waterproof. Cons: Slight smell of alcohol that dissipates quickly.
I'm going on my fourth year of being a lifeguard at an outdoor pool. This means I spend A LOT of time in the sun. It also means that I don't have a lot of time. I spent part of my first year looking for something that would protect me and didn't need to be applied every 5 minutes. Bullfrog was the answer. Today I worked a 7 hour shift and applied bullfrog twice. I came home with no burn (except where I missed by my swimsuit straps oops). The spray is fast and easy to use so I don't feel like i'm being slowed down by the process of applying sunscreen all the time. I am consistently the only guard that doesn't get burnt where I work. I recommend this product as well as the other fine Bullfrog products to everybody I know!
Pros: Easy to apply. Very, very effective. NO MESS!!! Cons: None at all.
As a surveyor I am in the sun all day, every day. I have tried EVERYTHING sold to consumers when it comes to sunblock, and what i disliked about every one of them is the residue left on my hands after application. Being sort of a "manly man" this hand lotiony feeling was just unacceptable.
Enter Bullfrog quickgel sport spray. Not only can you apply it in areas hard to get at with regular sunblocks (in the folded parts of your ears, your face etc) there is no lingering slimy residue left on your hands. All of this and it works great.
As a matter of fact last summer (a hot one here in central CA. 6 weeks at 100 ) by applying it once in the morning and again just after lunch, i noticed that i was actually starting to lose some of my tan! Nothing drastic, but definately noticable.
In closing, do not do battle with the sun unprotected!!! You will ultimately pay, with premature aging, or worse, skin cancer. This stuff tends to be a little pricey, but it is worth twice whatever you pay. Your skin will thank you.
