Pros: Quality, Customer Service & Knowledge, Quality of Coffee Life Cons: Price, Takes up a little counter space!
So within about a month of each other two things happened that made us rethink and update our Bunn GRX-W coffee maker. Number 1 - my son was washing dishes and I didnt notice that he had gotten a glass stuck in the coffee pot. I later ...
I needed a new coffee maker, and reviews I read about earlier Bunn coffee makers indicated that this was THE coffee maker to get. I had it down between that and the pricier Cuisinart coffee machine. However Bunn seemed to garner more five star reviews, ...
Pros: FAST, basic design fits with any decor Cons: Big machine might not fit under some cabinets, might be a maintenance nightmare.
My wife and I both work and are caffeine dependent and a bit snobbish, averaging 2-3 cups apiece in the morning and only using high-quality coffee like Gevalia or Dunkin' Donuts premium grinds. My typical consumer grade countertop coffee brewers ...
Pros: pressurized hot water pressing the coffee Cons: remembering to turn off hot water heater switch
First, I drink ALOT of coffee but am not an enthusiast that grinds thier own and all that stuff. Second, if you want grinders, timers, clocks, or pause-n-serve - then this model is not for you. Third, I bought this unit years ...
Pros: Brews in 3 minutes and makes restaurant quality coffee. Free replacement parts from BUNN Cons: Uses electricity all day, unless you use a timed outlet, which I do
This is the very best everyday basic home or office brewer ever manufactured - No contest. The simplicity and ease of use are equally as great as the resulting coffee. It features a stainless steel ...
Pros: Makes great coffee quickly and easily Cons: No shutoff on the warmer and no timer
I bought the Bunn GRX-W 10-Cup Coffee Maker because its what I wanted. Except for the lack of a timer I am quite happy with it. I did look at a Cusinart for about the same price that had a timer but it also ground the beans and I didn't want to listen ...
Pros: Teutonic toughness to match your Mercedes 500 series sedan. Cons: Retro Technology that showcases the best of the year 1970!
I will be comparing this $100 Bunn, with a $20 Black and Decker that I got at Fry's. Both coffee makers are well made, with the Bunn going into industrial strength construction that should last a lifetime. The B&D is standard build, and the base ...
Pros: It still works great --- for a few days. Very good customer service. Cons: No longer worth the price --- any price.
Prior to a year ago I’d have given this product five stars and happily recommended it to anyone. Not now. Sadly I must say DO NOT BUY IT! I’ve been using the residential version of the Bunn coffee maker for about thirty years and always - in ...
I bought a Bunn for the company's reputation for making good equipment, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Love this coffee maker! It makes a very tasty pot of coffee very very fast, and the best part for me is, I have hard water (even though I only use ...
Pros: NO PROS Cons: The whole coffee maker is a CON
After going through so many cheap coffee makers I thought that maybe if I spent more money I'd end up with a better quality coffee maker. With all the positive reviews I read about BUNN- I thought I'd give it a try. What a mistake- for the money I found ...
Flawed maker does make good coffee. by conic ,Jun 24 '07
Pros: Makes good coffee, fast. Cons: No automatic shut off. Not designed for weekend users.
My big complaint with this product is that it does not turn itself off. A couple of times a year, I will either forget to turn it off, or think I forgot, and have to make a unplanned trip back home. In fact, this just happened to me recently and it bothered me so much, I decided to post this Epinion on it to warn other consumers.
If you don't use this at least every third day, the water in it's tank evaporates and has to be replaced. This is why in the CONS, I wrote "not designed for weekend users".
On the plus side, it does make a good cup of coffee. I buy high quality, fresh coffee beans and grind them when I brew. Having good coffee at home is important to me and this product steps up to the plate nicely. Having said this, if I had to do it all over again, I would never buy another maker that did not have a automatic shutoff.
Hot coffee, cheap plastic by christybracey ,Jan 17 '08
Pros: Coffee in three minutes!
HOT coffee.
Easy to clean (with regular maintenance) Cons: Cheap plastic base.
No auto on/auto shutoff.
Can become clogged without regular maintenance.
I've had this coffeemaker for a little more than a year. It makes delicious, super hot coffee in three minutes. However, the plastic surrounding the warming plate is thin, without support, and cracked on its own about six months after I bought it. The coffee maker worked fine with the crack, of course, but it spread and got to be very unattractive.
Also, read the directions for maintenance, and follow them. I waited too long to use the tool to clean out lime (we have very hard water in Tennessee) and then it was too clogged so much I couldn't get the tool all the way in. When it gets clogged with hard water deposits, it takes longer and longer than the three minutes.
So even though I'm replacing this coffee maker, I'm replacing it with another Bunn. The 3-minute hot coffee just isn't duplicated any other similarly priced brands.
Pros: Fast, simple, consistent, and made in the USA. Cons: Expensive, slightly bulky, boxy design.
I opted for this high quality basic consumer model Bunn drip coffee maker - since it consistently brews one 10 cup (50 oz) carafe in three minutes flat! It is simple to clean and maintain. It has two on/off switches - one for the coffee maker and another for the carafe warming plate. I can't think of a need for a timer since it brews in three minutes. After the 18 minute initial set-up (since Bunn uses a proprietary heated water reservoir) this coffee maker consistently makes a perfect cup of coffee, just like the kind brewed in a restaurant's Bunn-O-Matic.
Pros: This coffee maker has no redeeming qualities. Cons: Expensive for something that makes a terrible cup of joe.
I purchased this coffee maker based off of my familiarity with the "Bunn" name. I figured it had to produce a quality cup of joe as it was a Bunn. I was wrong. The coffee produced by this maker tasted watered down. I called Bunn and asked why this was the case and they sent me a new spout nozzle saying that there were different spouts depending on whether the coffee was fresh ground, or pre-ground. I received the new spout in no time, free of charge. To Bunns credit the customer service was great. I installed the new spout and the coffee still had little flavor. I cannot in good conscience recommend this coffee maker to anyone. Save your money.
